NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Isaiah Swope scored 17 points as Indiana State beat Belmont 78-72 on Wednesday night.

Swope was 6 of 16 shooting (5 for 11 from 3-point range) for the Sycamores (19-3, 10-1 Missouri Valley Conference). Jayson Kent added 14 points while shooting 5 of 6 from the field and 4 for 4 from the line, and he also had 10 rebounds. Robbie Avila shot 3 for 8 (1 for 4 from 3-point range) and 5 of 6 from the free throw line to finish with 12 points, while adding seven rebounds and five assists. The Sycamores extended their winning streak to six games.

The Bruins (12-10, 5-6) were led in scoring by Malik Dia, who finished with 22 points and five assists. Cade Tyson added 20 points for Belmont. In addition, Keishawn Davidson finished with 15 points, seven assists and four steals.

Swope scored 11 points in the first half and Indiana State went into the break trailing 45-37. Indiana State used a 10-2 second-half run to come back from a three-point deficit and take the lead at 73-68 with 4:12 left in the half before finishing off the victory. Julian Larry scored 10 second-half points.

NEXT UP

Both teams play again on Saturday. Indiana State hosts Drake and Belmont travels to play Missouri State.
