TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) Ryan Conwell' scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half to help Indiana State defeat Missouri State 88-66 on Tuesday night.

Conwell also contributed five rebounds for the Sycamores (15-3, 6-1 Missouri Valley Conference). Robbie Avila scored 24 points while shooting 9 for 15 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line, and added 10 rebounds. Jayson Kent had 15 points and was 5 of 9 shooting, including 2 for 3 from 3-point range, and went 3 for 4 from the line.

Alston Mason finished with 15 points and seven assists for the Bears (10-8, 2-5). Missouri State also got 14 points and eight rebounds from N.J. Benson. Donovan Clay also had 12 points, four assists and two steals.

Indiana State led 44-30 at halftime, and later, used a 9-0 run to extend the advantage to 19 points.

Indiana State takes on Murray State on the road on Sunday, and Missouri State hosts Illinois State on Saturday.
