ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Sam Jones scored a season-high 15 points, all on 3-pointers, Matt Howard added 13 points with nine rebounds and Penn beat UCF 58-49 on Monday night.

AJ Brodeur had 10 points, six rebounds and a career-high tying four blocked shots for the Quakers.

A 3-pointer by Jones gave Penn (4-5) a 42-32 lead with 12:21 to play. UCF twice trimmed its deficit to three - the second coming on a layup by Nathan Laing with 7:14 to play - but would get no closer, going 1 of 9 from the field and 2 of 7 from the free throw line from there.

Matt Williams and Tacko Fall led the Knights (7-2) with 17 points apiece. The 7-foot-6 Fall, the tallest player in the NCAA, had a career-high 17 rebounds - his third game with at least 16 boards this season. He came in leading the nation in field goal percentage (81.0) and made 8 of 8 shots on Monday.
