Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Yanked in Game 2
Swayman was handed the loss Wednesday in Game 2 against the Panthers after allowing four goals on 23 shots before being replaced by Linus Ullmark early in the third period.
Swayman blanked Florida in the first period before surrendering three goals in the second, including a Gustav Forsling tally with just two seconds left in the frame. Swayman would give up a fourth goal 1:28 into the third before he was replaced by Ullmark. It's the first time in eight postseason starts that Swayman's allowed more than two goals -- he still sports an impressive .942 save percentage with a 1.81 GAA during the playoffs. Swayman earned the primary starting job in the postseason after splitting the workload with Ullmark for most of the year, though the Bruins may elect to make a change prior to Friday's Game 3 on Friday.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Slated to start
Swayman was the first goalie off the ice at morning skate, per Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald, putting him on track to guard the road goal in Wednesday's Game 2 versus Florida.
Swayman was exceptional in Monday's Game 1, turning aside 38 of 39 shots en route to a convincing 5-1 win. As long as the 25-year-old netminder continues to play at this level, it seems unlikely coach Jim Montgomery will go back to the rotation between Swayman and Linus Ullmark he utilized to open the Bruins' first-round series versus Toronto.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stellar in Game 1 win
Swayman stopped 38 of 39 shots in Monday's 5-1 win over the Panthers in Game 1 of the second round.
A turnover led to the Panthers' lone goal in the second period, which was scored by Matthew Tkachuk. Swayman was otherwise stellar again, as he allowed a single goal for the fourth time in seven playoffs outings. His other three starts have seen him give up just two tallies each time. Swayman is 5-2 with a 1.42 GAA and a .955 save percentage this postseason, and he should be considered a near lock to start in Game 2 on Wednesday.

Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tending twine in Game 1

Swayman was excellent in the first round of the postseason against Toronto, stopping 172 of 181 shots en route to a 4-2 record. Florida ranks third in the playoffs with 4.00 goals per contest.

Swayman stopped 30 of 31 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Maple Leafs in Game 7.
Swayman was in net for all four of the Bruins' first-round wins, and he allowed a total of just nine goals over his six appearances versus Toronto. He battled Ilya Samsonov for nearly 50 minutes before William Nylander and Hampus Lindholm exchanged goals midway through the third period. Swayman didn't have to keep it tied for long in overtime, as David Pastrnak tucked home the game-winner 1:54 into the extra session. Swayman has likely earned the opportunity to be the starter in the second round versus the Panthers, who boast an intimidating offense that may make it difficult for the 25-year-old to replicate his first-round results.

Swayman has been solid in his last five outings, posting a 1.40 GAA and .953 save percentage while going 3-2-0. After the Game 5 loss Tuesday, there was certainly a chance the Bruins would turn back to Linus Ullmark, however, they will continue to ride Swayman into Game 6.

Swayman has lost back-to-back games, but he still hasn't given up more than two goals in any of his five first-round starts.
