The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Saturday. Myers was knocked around during his start against the White Sox on Friday, allowing five earned runs in just 4.1 frames, and he will now head back to Nashville in order to right the ship. The 25-year-old owns a 5.40 ERA and 1.46 WHIP through 26.2 innings across seven big-league appearances this season, though he still may be relied upon later in the year if the Brewers run into additional problems with their pitching depth. Janson Junk was recalled from Triple-A in a corresponding move.... See More ... See Less

Brewers' Tobias Myers: Roughed up in no-decision
Myers did not factor into the decision in Friday's 12-5 win over the White Sox, allowing five runs on seven hits and one walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out four. Myers entered this start on a hot streak, firing a 1.93 ERA and 12:4 K:BB over 9.1 innings in his last three outings, but struggled against a weak White Sox lineup. He allowed just one homer -- a 417-foot solo shot to Paul DeJong -- but failed to reach multiple strikeouts in a start for the first time this season. The Brewers' rotation plans are murky, currently as DL Hall (knee) has been making rehab starts and could return soon. If Myers remains in the rotation for another start, it would come against the Phillies on the road next week.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Getting another start Friday
Myers is scheduled to start Friday's game against the White Sox at American Family Field. Myers moved from the bullpen into the rotation this past weekend in Boston and struck out four while allowing one run over 4.1 innings in his start Sunday. The performance was good enough to earn Myers a second straight turn through the rotation for what will be his sixth start overall with Milwaukee this season. Over his 22.1 total innings for the Brewers, Myers has pitched to a 4.43 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Solid versus Boston
Myers pitched 4.1 innings Sunday against Boston, allowing one earned run on six hits and zero walks. He struck out four and did not factor into the decision. The 25-year-old got his first start since being called up Tuesday, taking the place of Joe Ross (back) in the Brewers rotation. Myers pitched well, not allowing a home run for the first time in five starts this season and improving his shaky 10:8 K:BB ratio. With five Brewers starters on the IL, Myers could stick in the rotation for the time being, especially if he continues to pitch like he did Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Recalled from Triple-A
The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Myers is taking the roster spot vacated by Joe Ross (back) and is also a candidate to take Ross' place in the rotation, although it would appear he'll be available in relief for now. The right-hander holds a 5.29 ERA and 17:9 K:BB over 17 innings covering four starts with Milwaukee this season.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Sent down to minors
The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Friday. The transaction comes one day after Myers was charged with one run on three hits and four walks over four innings in a no-decision versus the Cardinals. Myers should be under consideration for future starts with the Brewers but will rejoin Nashville's rotation for the time being.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Fans six in no-decision
Myers did not factor into the decision in Milwaukee's win over the Cardinals on Thursday, allowing one run on three hits and four walks over four innings. He struck out six. Myers managed to work his way out of jams despite issuing four walks for the second consecutive start. The only run allowed by the 25-year-old right-hander came via a Lars Nootbaar solo homer in the top of the third inning, and Myers has given up at least one home run in all four of his outings to open the campaign. The six strikeouts were a season high, and he now carries an 8:8 K:BB through two May starts after posting a 9:1 K:BB in his two April appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ugly outing in Chicago
Myers (0-2) took the loss to the Cubs on Saturday, allowing four runs on three hits and four walks over three innings. He struck out two batters. Nico Hoerner and Christopher Morel touched Myers up for homers, sending the right-hander to his second loss in three starts. Walks had not been an issue for Myers in his first two turns, as he walked only one batter in his first 10 innings, but he couldn't find the strike zone and/or didn't trust his stuff enough on this particular day to fill up the zone. While it was a step backward, Myers projects to remain in the rotation for the time being with DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still without definitive timetables.... See More ... Brewers' Tobias Myers: Staying in rotation
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Monday that Myers will remain in the rotation, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers has held his own in two starts for the Brewers, allowing three runs with a 9:1 K:BB over 10 innings. With DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) still out and Wade Miley (elbow) done for the season, the Brewers don't have much of a choice in giving Myers at least one more turn while the organization's rotation depth has been tested early on. He's tentatively lined up to start in Chicago against the Cubs this weekend.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Ineffective versus New York
Myers pitched five innings, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out five batters in Sunday's 15-5 loss to the Yankees. He did not factor into the decision. Myers surrendered a solo homer to Aaron Judge in the top of the first inning, and a three-run shot by Anthony Volpe in the fifth frame accounted for the final tallies on his line. Through two major-league starts this season, the 25-year-old has given up five runs, all of which have come on long balls, over 10 innings. If he draws another turn in Milwaukee's rotation, Myers is tentatively lined up to be back on the mound Saturday on the road versus the Cubs.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Getting another start
Myers is slated to start Sunday's game against the Yankees at American Family Field, Sophia Minnaert of Bally Sports Wisconsin reports. With Wade Miley (elbow), DL Hall (knee) and Jakob Junis (shoulder) all still on the injured list without clear timelines to return, Myers will end up sticking around for a second turn through the Milwaukee rotation. The 25-year-old had been a standout performer for Triple-A Nashville prior to getting called up this week and held his own in his MLB debut Tuesday, taking the loss despite limiting the Pirates to one run on four hits and one walk over five innings.... Brewers' Tobias Myers: Hard-luck loss in debut
Myers (0-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and a walk across five innings. He struck out four. After allowing a leadoff homer to Andrew McCutchen in the first inning, Myers ultimately turned in a solid major-league debut, holding the Pirates scoreless over his subsequent four innings. However, the 25-year-old right-hander wound up with the loss, as Milwaukee couldn't crack Bailey Falter until the eighth inning. Myers got off to a good start this year with Triple-A Nashville, pitching to a 1.62 ERA across 16.2 innings. He should get another look in the Brewers' rotation while Wade Miley (elbow) is sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Making major-league debut Tuesday
Myers will start against the Pirates on Tuesday in what will be his major-league debut. Myers was up with the Brewers briefly last week but didn't make an appearance. He'll be on the bump to start Tuesday's contest after collecting a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. Myers is filling in for Wade Miley (elbow) and could earn additional starts if he pitches well.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Returns from Triple-A
The Brewers recalled Myers from Triple-A Nashville on Monday. Myers received a call-up to the majors last week and didn't make an appearance before being optioned to Nashville. This time around, Myers could fill the rotation spot vacated by Wade Miley (elbow), who was placed on the 15-day injured list but had been in line to start Tuesday in Pittsburgh. Myers holds a 1.62 ERA and 22:7 K:BB over 16.2 innings this season at Nashville. He would be making his major-league debut when/if he gets into a game.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Moved to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Myers to Triple-A Nashville on Thursday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Myers was with the big club for just one day and did not make an appearance. The Brewers will announce a corresponding move prior to their series opener Friday in St. Louis.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Summoned to majors
The Brewers selected Myers' contract from Triple-A Nashville on Wednesday. Milwaukee was eager to build in an extra day of rest for all five members of its rotation, so rather than having ace Freddy Peralta take the hill Wednesday on normal rest, the Brewers will opt for a bullpen day in the series finale with the Padres. Bryse Wilson will open the contest and should be capable of covering 3-to-4 innings, but Myers could be called upon to pitch multiple innings behind him. Myers, who had been working as a starter at Nashville this season, accrued a 1.84 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 19:6 K:BB across 14.2 innings.... See More ... See Less -
Brewers' Tobias Myers: Joins Milwaukee on MiLB deal
Myers signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers on Tuesday. Myers spent time with the Guardians, Giants and White Sox organizations in 2022, and he posted a 7.82 ERA across 76 innings at the Triple-A level between the three clubs. The 24-year-old has yet to make his MLB debut, and he'll need to deliver improved results next season to have a chance of seeing the big leagues.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Tobias Myers: Off 40-man, stays in organization
The White Sox outrighted Myers to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday. Chicago scooped Myers up off waivers from San Francisco on Aug. 2, but one month later, he lost his spot on the 40-man roster. The 24-year-old right-hander wasn't claimed by another organization during his most recent exposure to the waiver wire, so he'll stick around with the White Sox's top affiliate. Since joining Charlotte, Myers has been lit up for 16 runs (15 earned) on 17 hits and 11 walks over eight innings across his five appearances.... See More ... See Less -
White Sox's Tobias Myers: Claimed by White Sox
The White Sox claimed Myers off waivers from the Giants on Tuesday. San Francisco designated Myers for assignment over the weekend, but he didn't take long to regain a 40-man roster spot with another organization. He'll begin his White Sox tenure with Triple-A Charlotte.... See More ... See Less
