Rotowire
Mobley produced 25 points (12-16 FG, 1-1 FT) and five rebounds in 19 minutes during Wednesday's 134-110 victory over the Lakers.
Mobley has been one of the best big men in the league during the first week of the regular season. The fact that he finished with 25 points despite logging a mere 19 minutes goes to show how dominant and efficient he was in this contest while having to deal with the frontcourt of Rui Hachimura and Anthony Davis. Mobley has been productive on both ends of the court, averaging 19.2 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.0 blocks and 1.2 steals per contest in his first five appearances.

Cavaliers' Evan Mobley: Leads Cavs in season-opening win
Rotowire
Mobley notched 25 points (9-14 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, three assists, three blocks and two steals in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 136-106 victory over the Raptors.
Mobley was expected to take on a bigger role on offense this season, and while one game isn't enough to draw any meaningful conclusions, the fact that he led the team in scoring ahead of Donovan Mitchell certainly stands out. Mobley averaged 15.7 points and 9.4 rebounds per game across 50 regular-season appearances in 2023-24, and it wouldn't be surprising if he tops those numbers in 2024-25, particularly if his usage rate increases in comparison to previous years.
Mobley finished with 15 points (4-11 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 6-12 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists and three blocks across 35 minutes in Friday's 139-137 preseason loss to the Cavaliers.
Mobley finished just two assists away from recording a triple-double, so it's safe to say he's ready for the start of the regular season. The big man is expected to play a prominent role for the Cavaliers on both ends of the court while logging over 30 minutes per game, so he should have a decent floor in most fantasy formats as a regular starter and two-way threat on a contending team.

Mobley has seen his blocks per game average drop over the first three years of his career, but that area of his game appears to be a point of emphasis again, as he's now registered seven blocks across his two preseason outings. Mobley shot a career-high 58.0 percent from the field during the 2023-24 regular season and averaged 15.7 points, 9.4 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 0.9 steals across 30.6 minutes per game over 50 contests. Mobley won't play in Thursday's preseason game versus the Pacers, Evan Dammarell of FearTheSword.com reports.
Cleveland has opted to sit all of its starters for Thursday's contests, so fantasy managers don't have any injury to worry about. Mobley should be good to go for the team's next preseason matchup with Detroit on Oct. 16.

The 23-year-old big man has yet to have a true breakout campaign, but he shot a career-high 58.0 percent from the floor in 2023-24 despite being limited to only 50 regular-season games due to injuries. If he can stay healthy, Mobley could be ready to take a big step forward.

Mobley continues to play as Cleveland's starting center due to Jarrett Allen (ribs) being sidelined, but his numbers have not suffered.
