Bolduc scored a power-play goal and added an even-strength assist in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Penguins. The 23-year-old blueliner hadn't been in the Islanders' lineup since Jan. 27, falling out of the blue-line mix soon after Patrick Roy took over as head coach. Following a conditioning stint with AHL Bridgeport, Bolduc rejoined the team for the regular-season finale and made an immediate impact. If Noah Dobson (upper body) isn't ready to play Saturday for Game 1 of a first-round series against Carolina, Bolduc could wind up seeing a regular shift.... See More ... See Less

Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Back from conditioning loan
Bolduc was recalled Monday from his conditioning stint with AHL Bridgeport, per Stefen Rosner of NHL.com. Bolduc potted one goal in five minor-league outings during his conditioning assignment. He has three points, 29 shots on goal, 36 blocked shots and 43 hits across 33 NHL appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: On conditioning stint
Bolduc was sent to AHL Bridgeport on a conditioning stint Friday. Bolduc has been a healthy scratch for seven straight games. He should get plenty of playing time with Bridgeport during his loan. Bolduc has a goal, two assists, 43 hits and 36 blocked shots in 33 NHL games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Nets first goal of season
Bolduc scored a goal on his lone shot in Sunday's 3-1 loss to the Penguins. Bolduc scored the Islanders' only tally midway through the third period Sunday, firing a loose puck past Alex Nedeljkovic for his first goal of the season. The 23-year-old blueliner doesn't offer much offensively (he now has three points through 26 games), though he should see regular playing time while Adam Pelech (upper body) and Ryan Pulock (lower body) are sidelined.... Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Registers first point
Bolduc earned an assist against Columbus on Thursday, his first point of the 2023-24 campaign. Bolduc is averaging just 11:30 of ice time in his 15 appearances this season, so his lack of production shouldn't come as a huge surprise. Given his limited minutes and lack of offensive upside, Bolduc figures to remain a relative non-factor in fantasy contests moving forward and will likely find himself watching from the press box periodically.... Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Inks two-year extension
Bolduc signed to a two-year contract with the Islanders on Tuesday. Bolduc produced two goals, one assist, 20 shots on net, 16 blocked shots and 26 hits in 17 appearances with the Islanders during the 2022-23 season. The 22-year-old blueliner also picked up 10 goals and 35 points over 56 AHL contests with Bridgeport this past campaign. Bolduc will likely get a chance in the fall to compete for a spot on the NHL roster out of training camp.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Provides goal Saturday
Bolduc scored a goal in the Islanders' 4-0 win over Philadelphia on Saturday. Bolduc has two goals and three points in 15 games with the Islanders this season. The 22-year-old was called up from Bridgeport on March 20, and he has 10 goals and 35 points in 56 contests with that AHL squad in 2022-23. Bolduc entered Saturday's action averaging 1:24 of ice time on the Islanders' power play, and he logged another 1:49 versus the Flyers, but the defenseman hasn't recorded a point yet with the man advantage.... Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Recalled from AHL
Bolduc was summoned from AHL Bridgeport on Monday. Bolduc could play Tuesday against Toronto after Sebastian Aho (upper body) was injured in Saturday's 4-1 win over San Jose. Forward Otto Koivula (lower body) was returned on loan to Bridgeport in a corresponding move. Bolduc has registered one goal, six shots on net, five blocks and 13 hits in six NHL appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Returns to NHL
Bolduc was recalled from AHL Bridgeport on Sunday, Stefen Rosner of NYI Hockey Now reports. Bolduc has provided four shots on goal, two blocks and eight hits in four NHL contests this campaign. He also has eight goals and 26 points in 41 AHL appearances. Bolduc will be available for Monday's matchup in Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Heads to AHL
Bolduc was loaned to AHL Bridgeport on Sunday. Bolduc has played in four games with New York this season, including his NHL debut Jan. 23 against Toronto. He has been credited with four shots on goal, two blocks and eight hits. Bolduc averaged 14:32 of ice time and logged some minutes on the power play.... See More ... See Less -
Islanders' Samuel Bolduc: Rises to NHL ranks

x - Michael Schuerlein@islesblogger2D agoWoke up on this random Tuesday off, the sun is out, birds are chirping and this sense of existential dread. Last night was like a fever dream, except it wasn’t. Experience Islanders Hockey. #isles

Stan Fischler@StanFischler2D agoYAY! to @MSGNetworks @NYIslanders TV host -- and my pal -- Shannon Hogan for winning the 2124 David Gross Advocacy Award for her dedicated work advocating and supporting the battle against Alzheimer's Disease.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler2D agoDepartment of Not-Really Coincidence: Last night, Portland Winterhawks grad, Seth Jarvis helped the @Canes beat the @NYIslanders. During the day, Hawks goalie Jan Spunar was named WHL Goalie of the Week. The 19-year-old Czech is undrafted! NHL needs net minders; Jan could be 1.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler2D agoIn Hockey 101 there should be a class called "How To Win Despite 'The Dreaded 3-Goal Lead.' Hard to believe that it happened again but TD3GL did in the @NYIslanders again in the most painful (what else?) of ways in Raleigh last night. It's now Bounce Back Time at the new Corral.

Stan Fischler@StanFischler4D agoGood try for @NYIslanders in the opener in Raleigh. The @Canes proved their worth with exceptional goaltending and a pair of timely goals. Another effort like the one in Game One will give the Isles a shot at tying the series. My question: Does Patrick Roy start Varly or Ilya?

Stan Fischler@StanFischler5D agoSince The Hockey News Yearbook forecast a @Canes Stanley Cup triumph, I guess the @NYIslanders have quite a challenge ahead. Well, they had one in the homestretch and, heroically, met that challenge. That's hockey. Whatever happens, I wish them well.
