  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Two points in win

Eyssimont had a goal and an assist Thursday in a 7-4 victory over the Canadiens. He also picked up four PIM. His goal was pure determination and the epitome of never giving up. Eyssimont pushed the game to 2-1 in the first period when he drove the net and jammed the puck off Cayden Primeau's stick and up and over the netminder. And Eyssimont's PIM came in the third when he mistakenly thought Arber Xhekaj was the cause of Brandon Hagel's injury and chased him down to throw fists. But Xhekaj was an innocent bystander, as Steven Stamkos had actually slammed into an unsuspecting Hagel. It's a great demonstration of why Eyssimont is a fabulous teammate -- he stands up for his guys, and he came within a referee's discretion of a Gordie Howe hat trick Thursday. The goal was his 11th of the season.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Provides helper

Eyssimont notched an assist and five hits in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Bruins. Eyssimont snapped a four-game skid when he assisted on a Mitchell Chaffee tally in the first period. With five points over 10 outings in March, Eyssimont has enjoyed his most productive month since November. The forward is up to 10 goals, 11 assists, 126 shots on net, 115 hits, 95 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 71 contests in a bottom-six role.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Gets rare goal in loss

Eyssimont scored a goal Thursday in a 6-3 loss to Calgary. Eyssimont isn't known for his offense -- it was his first goal in 16 games. But he does deliver some meathead stats like 95 hits and 86 PIM to go along with 120 shots. Eyissimont doesn't deliver much fantasy value, but he'll continue to make an impact on the ice for the Lightning.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Has earned coach's trust

Eyssimont has one assist, 15 shots and 10 hits in his last eight games. Eyssimont may not deliver fantasy points, but he's earned the trust of his coach. At age 27, Eyssimont is tracking toward his first full season in the NHL, and he's two points from tying his career mark of 15 points, which he set last season in stops in three cities (San Jose, Winnipeg and Tampa Bay). Lightning forward could hit 25 points and 100 hits this season, but there's little fantasy value in this bottom-six workhorse.

  • Lightning's Michael Eyssimont: Grabs helper Thursday

Eyssimont earned an assist against Edmonton on Thursday. Eyssimont remains mired in an 18-game goal drought during which he has garnered 41 shots, five assists and 20 hits while averaging 12:33 of ice time. As long as the 27-year-old center continues to register over two shots per game, he should eventually find the back of the net and break out of his slump.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Surprise highlight-reel goal

Eyssimont scored a goal Saturday in a 6-4 win over the Senators. It was a highlight-reel snipe. Eyssimont split the Sens' D on a rush and roofed a backhand as he fell to the ice. "I don't know if tenacity has ever been a problem with him, to be honest," Lightning coach Jon Cooper said of Eyssimont. "That's kind of what he brings every single night. ... He never stops on plays, and he didn't stop on that one and he was rewarded." Eyssimont has three goals and one assist in 11 games, so his fantasy value is still nominal.

  • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Tallies first point of season

Eyssimont picked up an assist for his first point of the season in Sunday's 5-2 loss against the Senators. Eyssimont was also good for a plus-1 rating, a shot on goal, a blocked shot and three hits in his 13:57 of ice time across 17 shifts. His calling card is his hitting, as he dished out 107 hits across 54 games with the Jets, Sharks and Lightning in 2022-23.

Eyssimont (upper body) is expected to play Thursday versus the Maple Leafs in Game 5, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports. • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Unavailable for Game 2

Eyssimont (undisclosed) will miss Game 2 against Toronto on Thursday, according to Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times. Eyssimont sustained the injury when he was hit by Jake McCabe in the second period of Tuesday's 7-3 victory over the Maple Leafs. During the regular season, the 26-year-old Lightning forward had five goals and 15 points in 54 contests. With Eyssimont unavailable, the Lightning either need Tanner Jeannot (lower body) to return after missing Game 1, or Tampa Bay will want to summon someone from the AHL to help fill the void.

Eyssimont picked up an assist Saturday in a 7-4 loss to Ottawa. It was his first point in a Lightning uniform (13 games). • Lightning's Mikey Eyssimont: Dealt to Tampa

Eyssimont was traded from the Sharks to the Lightning on Wednesday in exchange for Vladislav Namestnikov. Eyssimont will play for his third team this season after this deal. • Sharks' Mikey Eyssimont: Garners helper in loss

Eyssimont produced an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Predators. Eyssimont has a goal and an assist, as well as nine shots, over his last two games. The 26-year-old forward has looked solid in a middle-six role for the Sharks, typically playing alongside Logan Couture. Eyssimont has eight points through 18 contests with San Jose after producing five points in 19 outings with the Jets to begin the campaign. His place in the lineup should be fairly secure, and he could even take on more ice time if Timo Meier (upper body) is ultimately traded ahead of the March 3 deadline.

  • Sharks' Mikey Eyssimont: Nabs two helpers

Eyssimont recorded two assists in Monday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Devils. Eyssimont set up Timo Meier's tally in the first period to pick up his first point with San Jose before assisting on a Nick Bonino goal in the third. It's Eyssimont's first career multi-point game in his third appearance with the Sharks, who claimed him off waivers on Jan. 6 from Winnipeg. Eyssimont played 17:36 minutes in Monday's contests, including 2:09 on the power play. The 26-year-old forward could be worth a look if he continues to see this type of usage. Eyssimont has eight points (one goal, six assists) in 20 games this year.

  • Jets' Mikey Eyssimont: Called up from minors

Eyssimont was elevated from AHL Manitoba on Monday. Eyssimont's promotion comes as Mark Scheifele (upper body) was injured against the Senators on Sunday. If the 25-year-old Eyssimont steps into the lineup versus Montreal on Monday, it would mark his NHL debut. Selected by the Kings back in the fifth round of the 2016 NHL Draft, Eyssimont has played the last four years exclusively in the minors.
