Nesterenko was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Wednesday. The Ducks are off until Friday versus Calgary, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Nesterenko back with the big club ahead of that contest. Ducks' Nikita Nesterenko: Scores in Sunday's shootout loss
Nesterenko scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Blues. Nesterenko's goal tied the game at 1-1 early in the first period, setting the tone for a high-scoring contest. This was his second NHL outing of the season after his April 5 call-up. The winger had 33 points in 63 contests with AHL San Diego. Nesterenko was unable to make Anaheim's Opening Night roster out of training camp, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him get summoned by the Ducks during the campaign. The 22-year-old had 13 goals and 34 points in 36 NCAA games with Boston College in 2022-23. He also recorded a goal in nine outings with the Ducks.... See More ... See Less -
Ducks' Nikita Nesterenko: Nets first pro goal
Nesterenko scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Blues. This was Nesterenko's third NHL appearance after signing out of Boston College. The 21-year-old winger has produced six shots on net while filling a middle-six role as he gets a late-season audition with the Ducks. He may have some appeal as a budget option in DFS down the stretch, but playing in a weak offense limits his rest-of-season potential.... See More ... See Less
