  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Gets game-winner Thursday

Kartye scored a goal on two shots, added two PIM and logged three hits in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Ducks. Kartye put the Kraken ahead 3-2 with 6:57 left in the third period, and the lead held. The 22-year-old had gone seven contests without a point prior to his goal. Kartye remains a regular part of the Kraken's bottom six, but he hasn't found much consistency on offense. For the season, he has nine goals, eight assists, 96 shots on net, 183 hits, 37 PIM and a minus-5 rating. His goal Thursday was his first career game-winner.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Bags apple in overtime loss

Kartye notched an assist, two shots on goal and three hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights. Kartye snapped a 12-game point drought with the helper on Andre Burakovsky's second-period marker. Kartye was scratched four times during his slump, but he's now played in six straight games and should continue to have a spot in the lineup since the Kraken traded Alexander Wennberg to the Rangers at the deadline. For the season, Kartye has 16 points, 85 shots on net, 151 hits, 35 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 59 appearances.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Playing time slips

Kartye played in just five of the Kraken's nine games in February. Kartye is on an eight-game point drought after being held scoreless versus the Penguins in a 2-0 win Thursday. He's a solid bottom-six forward, but scoring problems have led to Kartye or Kailer Yamamoto slipping out of the lineup when the team is fully healthy. With Andre Burakovsky (undisclosed) day-to-day, there may be more consistent time for Kartye going forward, but he's not a fantasy option if he can't get on the scoresheet. The 22-year-old has 15 points, 82 shots on net, 137 hits and a minus-3 rating through 54 appearances.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Contributes helper

Kartye notched an assist and two PIM in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Blackhawks. Kartye helped out on a Brandon Tanev tally in the second period. With four points over 10 outings in January, Kartye has offered solid offense from the fourth line. The 22-year-old is up to 15 points, 77 shots on net, 83 hits, 29 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 46 outings. He may be at risk of a healthy scratch with Matty Beniers (upper body) nearing a return.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Scores again Saturday

Kartye scored a goal, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets. Kartye has goals in consecutive games, which has helped him stay in the lineup. With Andre Burakovsky (lower body) and Matty Beniers (upper body) both exiting this game early, Kartye's spot on the fourth line is likely safe in the short term. The 22-year-old is up to eight goals, 14 points, 71 shots on net, 71 hits, 27 PIM and a plus-3 rating through 41 appearances in his rookie season.

Kartye was recalled from AHL Coachella Valley on Saturday. After he was sent down Friday, Kartye will return to the Kraken just a day later. Shane Wright was sent back to the AHL in a corresponding move.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Sent to minors

Kartye was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Friday. Kartye has six goals, 11 points, 25 PIM and 55 hits in 30 contests with Seattle this season. Shane Wright was summoned from the AHL in a corresponding move. It wouldn't be surprising if Kartye is recalled by Seattle soon, especially considering he's been productive recently, providing two goals and three points over his last five outings.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Pots lone goal in loss

Kartye scored a goal on four shots and added three hits in Thursday's 2-1 loss to the Devils. Kartye tallied at 7:12 of the second period to tie the game at 1-1, but the Devils took the lead back less than two minutes later. With four points over his last six games -- all losses for the Kraken -- Kartye has been one of the team's few steady forwards lately. They've scored a total of 10 goals in that span. Kartye is up to five tallies, four assists, 53 shots on net, 53 hits and 25 PIM across 26 outings as a burgeoning power forward.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Bags apple Thursday

Kartye notched an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Maple Leafs. Kartye has two goals and an assist during his three-game point streak. The 22-year-old is seeing a more significant role due to Jaden Schwartz (lower body) and Brandon Tanev (lower body) joining Andre Burakovsky (upper body) among the Kraken's injured players. Kartye has eight points, 47 shots, 40 hits, 25 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 23 outings this season. He should continue to play regularly as long as the Kraken are missing any regulars up front.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Light lamp in Chicago

Kartye scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-3 road loss against the Blackhawks. Kartye finished with a plus-1 rating, four shots on goal, a blocked shot and a hit in 14:11 of ice time. The 22-year-old winger has scored goals in back-to-back games after going 14 contests without lighting the lamp. It's the first time in his NHL career that he has buried a goal in consecutive games. He'll look to make it three contests in a row with a marker as the road trip continues Thursday against the Maple Leafs.

Kartye got the Kraken on the board in the second period and then earned an interference penalty and a misconduct late in the third. The goal was his first since Oct. 24. The 22-year-old forward has six points, 40 shots on net, 38 hits and 23 PIM through 21 appearances this season. Kartye continues to mainly play in a fourth-line role.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Goal, fight in win

Kartye scored a goal on four shots and added seven PIM in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Hurricanes. Kartye was all over the ice in his 10:28 of ice time, and he was rewarded for his efforts in the third period. He scored a goal off a turnover and then fought Brendan Lemieux, exacting retribution for a previous hit on Jared McCann. The goal was Kartye's first regular-season tally, though he had three goals and two helpers in 10 appearances during the playoffs in the spring. The 22-year-old has added 12 shots on net, three hits and a plus-1 rating through four outings this season in a fourth-line role.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Makes roster

Kartye made the Kraken's roster after their last round of cuts Saturday, Kraken radio announcer Mike Benton reports. Kartye will presumably open the season as the Kraken's 13th forward after outlasting Shane Wright in camp. Kartye had an impressive turn with the team in the playoffs last year, recording five points in 10 games after replacing an injured Jared McCann in the lineup, and the 22-year-old forward was able to carry that momentum over into the preseason. Opportunities may be limited for Kartye at first, and most of his minutes will likely come in a bottom-six role.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Joining AHL team

Kartye was reassigned to AHL Coachella Valley on Tuesday, per CapFriendly. Kartye made an excellent first impression during his 10-game stint in the NHL playoffs. He racked up three goals, two assists, 44 hits and a plus-6 rating while playing on a line with Jordan Eberle and Matty Beniers. That level of production will likely earn Kartye a long look during training camp in the fall as he fights to break camp with the Kraken in 2023-24.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Ripples twine Saturday

Kartye scored a goal on two shots and added four hits in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Stars in Game 6. Kartye had space above the left-wing circle, and he was able to fire a shot short side on Jake Oettinger, chasing the Stars' goalie from the game. With a point in four of the last five games, Kartye has solidified his place in the lineup. He's at three goals, two assists, 11 shots on net, 40 hits and a plus-6 rating through nine playoff outings.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Physical in loss

Kartye notched an assist, two shots on goal and eight hits in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Stars in Game 5. Kartye has shown some skill on offense with four points through eight playoff outings. He hasn't shied away from the physicality of postseason hockey either, racking up 36 hits to go with nine shots on net and a plus-5 rating. He's still seeing fairly sheltered minutes, but he looks like he could have a strong chance of making the Kraken's 2023-24 roster out of training camp after an AHL Rookie of the Year campaign.

  • Kraken's Tye Kartye: Scores in NHL debut

Kartye scored a goal and added three hits in Wednesday's 3-2 win over the Avalanche in Game 5. Jordan Eberle circled around the Avalanche net and found Kartye open in the slot. Kartye made no mistake, scoring his first NHL goal on his first shot to put the Kraken ahead 2-1 in the second period. The AHL Rookie of the Year saw 8:41 of ice time in his debut while filling in for Jared McCann (undisclosed). While Kartye was listed on the top line, he's more likely to get his shifts skipped on occasion for as long as he's in the lineup this postseason.

Kartye was called up from AHL Coachella Valley on Wednesday, Bob Condor of the Kraken's official site reports. Kartye was up with the Kraken earlier in the series, but he didn't play. The 21-year-old may have a chance to draw into the lineup Wednesday in Game 5 versus the Avalanche, as Jared McCann (undisclosed) will not play. Kartye practiced with Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle at the morning skate Wednesday.
