Johansson scored a goal in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sharks. Johansson provided an insurance tally in the third period. He has a point in each of the last two games after going seven contests without getting on the scoresheet. The veteran winger is at 11 goals, 30 points, 107 shots on net and a minus-14 rating through 76 outings overall. Johansson continues to play in a middle-six role.... See More ... See Less

Wild's Marcus Johansson: Draws power-play assist
Johansson provided a power-play assist, two PIM and a minus-2 rating in Friday's 7-2 loss to the Golden Knights. Johansson has a goal and an assist over 14 games since he returned from a lower-body injury in mid-March. The 33-year-old has held down a middle-six role and power-play time, but he's not doing much with those assignments. For the season, he's at 29 points, 106 shots on net, 42 hits and a minus-15 rating through 75 outings. He's in danger of missing the 30-point mark for the second time in three years.... See More ... Wild's Marcus Johansson: Returning Tuesday
Johansson (lower body) will be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Coyotes at home, per Jessi Pierce of NHL.com. Johansson has been a nice piece for Minnesota this year, recording nine goals and 17 assists in 61 games played. The 33-year-old will likely play on the third line with Frederick Gaudreau and Marcus Foligno. He will look to provide key minutes on the power play for Minnesota as the club inches its way to a possible playoff spot.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Might return Tuesday
Johansson (lower body) could be an option versus Arizona on Tuesday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports. At this point, Johansson could probably be considered a game-time call for Tuesday's matchup. With just one goal and two assists in his last 14 contests, fantasy managers may not be scrambling to get the winger into their lineups. Still, Johansson could be in contention for a top-six role.... Wild's Marcus Johansson: Surfaces on IR
Johansson (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Thursday. Johansson last played Saturday against St. Louis, so while his placement on IR will force him to miss Thursday's game against Arizona and Friday's matchup with the Avalanche, he'll be eligible to return as soon as Sunday against the Predators. Johansson has picked up nine goals and 27 points through 61 contests this campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Ruled out versus Yotes
Johansson (lower body) will not be in action against Arizona on Thursday, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports. Johansson was on the ice for a portion of Wednesday's practice but couldn't complete the session. Given the Wild's back-to-back set, it seems unlikely that the winger will be ready to face Colorado on Friday, though he hasn't been officially ruled out. Given all of the team's forward injuries, Minnesota has been rolling with seven defensemen recently, a trend that could continue Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Not available Sunday
Johansson (lower body) will not play Sunday against San Jose, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Johansson was injured Saturday against St. Louis and will now miss at least one game as a result. Fortunately, the Wild will get a bit of a break before their next game Thursday in Arizona. Johansson has nine goals and 27 points through 61 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Leaves Saturday's game
Johansson sustained an undisclosed injury in Saturday's game versus the Blues, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Johansson played just 2:47 in the contest before his first-period exit. There was no update on his status after the contest, and with the Wild playing at home versus the Sharks on Sunday, it's unclear if Johansson will be available.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Scores in Saturday's win
Johansson scored a goal, blocked two shots and went plus-2 in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Kraken. Johansson snapped a 10-game goal drought with the first-period tally against one of his former teams. The 33-year-old winger is up to nine goals, 27 points, 88 shots on net and a minus-9 rating through 58 appearances. He remains in a second-line role, though his offense is on the low end of effectiveness for fantasy managers.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Collects helper
Johansson notched an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Friday's 4-2 win over the Oilers. Johansson's offense has been missing in action lately -- this was just his second assist over his last 10 games. The 33-year-old has maintained a middle-six role through the dry spell, but his December surge is a distant memory now. Johansson has 26 points, 87 shots on net, 31 hits and a minus-11 rating over 57 contests. With little in the way of non-scoring production, Johansson's tough to roster in fantasy when he isn't generating offense.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Two goals in win
Johansson scored a pair of goals in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Capitals. Johansson extended Minnesota's lead to 3-0 in the second period, beating Darcy Kuemper with a wrister from the circle, before adding a second tally from the slot in the final frame. The 33-year-old Johansson came into Tuesday's matchup with just one goal in his last seven contests. Overall, he's up to eight goals and 24 points through 47 games in a middle-six role with the Wild this season.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Finds twine Friday
Johansson scored a goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flyers. Johansson tallied 51 seconds into the second period, breaking the ice after a scoreless opening frame. The 33-year-old winger had a strong December, but his offense has stalled out with just two goals over six outings in January. For the season, Johansson is at six goals, 22 points, 68 shots on net and a minus-2 rating through 41 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Expected to play Wednesday
Johansson (illness) took line rushes in warmups, indicating he'll play Wednesday versus the Stars, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Johansson should be good to play in his usual top-six role. The winger has been solid lately with eight points, including three on the power play, over his last 10 contests.... See More ... Wild's Marcus Johansson: Game-time call Wednesday
Johansson will be a game-time decision Wednesday versus Dallas because of an illness, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Johansson has five goals and 21 points in 39 outings this year. If he can't play Wednesday, then Nicolas Petan might draw into the lineup after being a healthy scratch in Monday's 4-0 loss to the Stars.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Three-point effort Wednesday
Johansson scored two goals and added an assist in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Red Wings. He found the back of the net in the second and third periods during a game in which Minnesota never trailed. Johansson has turned things around in December, collecting three goals and 10 points in the last 11 contests after snapping out of a 10-game point drought that lasted most of November.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Collects two assists
Johansson recorded a pair of assists in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers. Johansson helped out on goals by Matt Boldy and Joel Eriksson Ek early in the second period. With three helpers over his last two contests, Johansson is moving past his 10-game point drought that spanned most of November. The 33-year-old forward is up to 11 points, 37 shots on net, 16 hits and a minus-2 rating through 25 outings. He's unlikely to see more than middle-six usage with some power-play time.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Power-play assist in win
Johansson recorded an assist along with two shots in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Islanders. The 33-year-old veteran assisted on a crucial power-play goal in the third period by Kirill Kaprizov to put the Wild up 3-2. In the past nine games, Johansson has eight points (one goal and seven assists) along with 20 shots on goal. He has been a key piece to Minnesota's power play and is averaging 3:41 of ice time on the power play, bouncing back and forth from the first and second unit.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Playing Saturday
Johansson (upper body) will play Saturday against Toronto, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Johansson cleared all his medical tests Friday after leaving Thursday's game versus Florida in the third period. He posted a plus-1 rating with one blocked shot in 12:03 of ice time during Minnesota's season-opening 2-0 win.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Feeling better Friday
Johansson (upper body) cleared all his tests after suffering an injury in Thursday's opening game, Joe Smith of The Athletic reports. The Wild will wait to see how he feels before deciding if he is healthy enough to play against the Maple Leafs on Saturday, but the good news is that he is day-to-day at worst. Johansson was a plus-1 with one blocked shot in 12:03 of action in a 2-0 victory over Florida on Thursday.... See More ... See Less -
Wild's Marcus Johansson: Sustains injury Thursday
Johansson (undisclosed) was hurt in Thursday's game versus the Panthers, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports. Head coach Dean Evason didn't provide an update on Johansson's status after the forward left the contest after crumpling into the boards in the third period. If Johansson can't play Saturday in Toronto, the Wild could roll out a lineup with seven defensemen or send down Dakota Mermis to recall a forward from AHL Iowa.... See More ... See Less
