  • Rangers' Tyler Pitlick: Designated for waivers

Pitlick hit the waiver wire Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Pitlick was a healthy scratch versus the Flames on Monday and now finds himself heading down to the minors, assuming he clears. In his last 23 contests, the winger has notched just one point to go with 24 shots, 49 hits and eight blocks. The Rangers could bring Pitlick back up before Thursday's matchup with the Habs or consider recalling another option from AHL Hartford.

  • Rangers' Tyler Pitlick: Considered week-to-week

Pitlick is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports. Pitlick logged just 6:58 of ice time Tuesday versus the Hurricanes, which isn't all that unusual for a fourth-liner. The injury will likely cost him at least a handful of games. Brennan Othmann was called up from AHL Hartford and should get a look during Pitlick's absence.

  • Rangers' Tyler Pitlick: Joins scoring foray

Pitlick netted his first goal of the season in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Bruins. Pitlick is on his eighth team between 10 years of NHL service time, actively representing the league-leading Blueshirts in a depth role while Filip Chytil takes time to recover from an upper-body injury. While Pitlick can help out in a pinch, his scant role averaging 10 minutes of ice time per contest makes him tough to rely on as anything but a flier in most formats.

  • Rangers' Tyler Pitlick: Practicing Saturday

Pitlick (upper body) is back at practice Saturday in a regular jersey, according to Arthur Staple of The Athletic. Pitlick was injured in the opening stanza in Wednesday's preseason game versus the Devils. The 31-year-old is battling for a bottom-six role with the Rangers after picking up seven goals and 16 points in 61 games with the Blues last season.

Pitlick didn't come out of the locker room following the first intermission, and he was ultimately ruled out early in the third period. The 31-year-old forward is in contention for a bottom-six role. Pitlick found the back of the net for the second consecutive game after going eight straight contests without a marker. He's up to seven goals and 16 points in 59 contests this season. Pitlick plays primarily on the fourth line, so he doesn't get many opportunities to contribute offensively, but the 31-year-old seems to be hot at the moment.

  • Blues' Tyler Pitlick: Scores in return to lineup

Pitlick scored a goal on two shots in Sunday's 5-3 loss to Vegas. Pitlick, who served as a healthy scratch in the Blues' previous two contests, tied the game 3-3 early in the third period, deflecting a Marco Scandella shot past Jiri Patera. The 31-year-old forward made the most of 8:17 of ice time with two shots, two hits, and two penalty minutes in addition to the goal. Pitlick is up to five goals, six assists, and 84 hits through 49 games this season. Even if he does earn a regular spot in the lineup, it'll be hard to count on much production from Pitlick while skating on St. Louis' fourth line.

Pitlick scored a goal on two shots, added three hits and went plus-2 in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Sharks. Nikita Alexandrov picked off a pass and set up Pitlick for the Blues' fifth goal. The 31-year-old Pitlick has two goals over his last six games, but even significant trades by the Blues haven't opened up much extra ice time for the veteran. The bottom-six winger posted just 10:36 of ice time per game in that stretch. He should stay in the lineup the rest of the season because the Blues traded three of their stalwart forwards over the past couple of weeks.

Pitlick signed a one-year, one-way contract worth $750,000 with the Blues on Tuesday.
