The NHL trade deadline has hit peak chaos this year, and in the midst of that chaos, the Boston Bruins continue to thrive.
The Bruins are back in the No. 1 spot after rattling off eight straight wins, and defenseman Dmitry Orlov has already made an impact after being acquired last week. Orlov tallied two goals and an assist in Boston's 4-3 overtime win over Calgary on Tuesday.
The Bruins now have 99 points with 22 games remaining, which puts them on pace for a jaw-dropping 135 points. As many other playoff teams in the Eastern Conference load up for what should be a grueling postseason, Boston is reminding everyone that the Stanley Cup will run through Boston this spring.
