Koski was waived by the Broncos on Sunday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Koski joined Denver on Aug. 14 after being waived by the Rams with an injury designation in March. The Cal Poly product last played in 2021 with Los Angeles, appearing in five contests and seeing all his work on special teams handling return duties. He'll now work to get an opportunity elsewhere.

Broncos' J.J. Koski: Inking in Denver
The Broncos are signing Koski to a contract Monday, Parker Gabriel of The Denver Post reports.
Koski hasn't appeared in regular-season action since 2021, when he suited up for five games for the Rams and played exclusively on special teams. Now fully healthy after ending last season with a shoulder injury, he gets a chance to compete for a depth role or practice squad spot in Denver.

Koski will revert to Los Angeles' injured reserve list unless another team claims him during the current waiver period. He suffered a shoulder injury during a team scrimmage Tuesday, which is presumably the reason for the move. Koski hurt his shoulder during Tuesday's scrimmage, Stu Jackson of the team's official site reports.
The severity of Koski's injury is unclear, but head coach Sean McVay hasn't expressed too much concern about it. The 6-foot-1 receiver failed to haul in his only target during the team's preseason opener against the Chargers, and he will continue competing for a roster spot with fellow pass catchers Brandon Powell (knee) and Jacob Harris (groin), among others. Koski originally signed with the Rams in April of 2020 as an undrafted free agent but has yet to play an offensive snap in the regular season.
