  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Needs to earn spot on roster

Moore isn't a lock to make the 2024 roster, according to ESPN's Adam Teicher.

The 2022 second-round pick has averaged 1.4 catches for 16.5 yards through 30 regular-season games, mostly serving as Kansas City's fourth or fifth wide receiver. It won't be surprising if Moore ends up earning a depth job again, though his fate partially depends on how things play out with the 2024 NFL Draft, Rashee Rice's legal situation, and Kadarius Toney's health, among other factors. Rice and free-agent signing Marquise Brown figure to play a lot when available, though neither can exactly be called reliable. Even so, Moore's lack of playing time and production through two seasons suggests he's not the most likely beneficiary in the event things go south for one of the team's starters. Kansas City seems optimistic about Toney and Justin Watson and might devote an early draft pick to the position.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Logs full practice Wednesday

Moore (knee) was a full practice participant Wednesday.

After the Chiefs activated him from injured reserve earlier in the day, Moore handled every on-field rep after being contained to three limited practices during the first week of Super Bowl LVIII prep. It remains to be seen to what extent the team incorporates Moore into the offense Sunday against the 49ers, but in three of five games before sustaining a swollen knee Week 15, he logged at least a 49 percent snap share.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Comes off IR

The Chiefs activated Moore (knee) from injured reserve Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.

After designating Moore for return from IR on Jan. 17, the Chiefs had until Wednesday to add him back on the active roster, or his season thus would be over. Now that the transaction has been made, Moore has a chance for his first game action since Week 15 in the Chiefs' Super Bowl LVIII matchup with the 49ers this Sunday. In order to gain active status, Moore likely will need to increase his practice participation this week after he was listed as a limited participant on all three of Kansas City's practice reports last week. Wednesday's upcoming injury report will reveal whether not not Moore is that much closer to being available to the offense again.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Questionable after first week of SB prep

Moore (knee) was limited at Friday's practice and is listed as questionable after the first week of prep for Super Bowl LVIII against the 49ers.

The Chiefs placed Moore on injured reserve after Week 15 due to a swollen knee, which so far has sidelined him for six consecutive contests. Because the team designated him for return from IR on Jan. 17, a decision to activate him will need to take place by Wednesday, and there's no telling if he's done enough to get back on the active roster after being listed as limited on all three practice reports this week. If he does, Moore should retain a small role in a Kansas City receiving corps with modest options behind No. 1 Rashee Rice on Sunday, Feb. 11.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Listed as limited again

Moore (knee) was a limited participant in practice Thursday.

Moore had the same listing on Wednesday's estimated practice report, after not practicing at all ahead of the AFC Championship Game against Baltimore. The Chiefs will need to activate him from injured reserve before next Thursday in order to have the wide receiver available for a part-time role in the Super Bowl against San Francisco. It's unclear if that will happen or not.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Listed as limited

Moore (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Wednesday's estimated practice report.

Moore last played Week 15 and was designated for return from injured reserve Jan. 17. The Chiefs will need to activate him from IR by Feb. 7 in order for him to be eligible to play in the Super Bowl matchup with the 49ers on Feb. 11. Even if that happens, Moore might not have much of a role. He played just 35 and 25 percent of snaps in his final two games before landing on IR, and he hasn't seen more than three targets in a game since Week 6.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Won't play Sunday

Moore (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Ravens.

Moore, who was designated to return from injured reserve Jan. 17, didn't practice at all this week and will thus target a potential return to action Feb. 11 should the Chiefs advance to the Super Bowl. Prior to suffering his knee injury, Moore had logged 21 catches on 38 targets for 244 yards and a touchdown in 14 regular-season contests.

  • Chiefs' Skyy Moore: Won't practice Wednesday

Moore (knee) isn't participating in Wednesday's practice, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.

Though Moore was designated for return from injured reserve Jan. 17, the wideout hasn't been able to take part in practice in any fashion since having his 21-day evaluation window opened. As such, Moore is looking unlikely to be added back to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday's AFC Championship Game matchup against the Ravens. It's quite possible that Kansas City is evaluating him with a potential return for the Super Bowl in mind, should the team get past the Ravens.
