Booth (knee) will not return this season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Booth had surgery Monday to repair his knee, and initially it was believed there was a chance he could return in January. However, it appears after the procedure was completed it was determined that would not be possible. The second-round rookie selection will now turn his focus to being ready for the 2023 campaign. Kris Boyd will be a candidate to see increased opportunity with Booth sidelined.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Andrew Booth: Return this season uncertain
Coach Kevin O'Connell said Monday that Booth (knee) will "more than likely" head to injured reserve after having undergone knee surgery, Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports. O'Connell said Booth's injury is "either going to be something that potentially ends his season" or a situation that could see him return "at some point in January." The rookie second-round pick began earning a role on defense starting Week 10, and he notched 12 total tackles in his last two games played. Starting with Sunday's game against the Jets, and as long as Booth remains out, Kris Boyd will likely handle an increased defensive role.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Unavailable against Patriots
Booth (knee) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Patriots, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Booth racked up a season-high nine tackles during last week's loss to the Cowboys but was unable to practice this week due to his knee injury. His next chance to suit up will be Dec. 4 against the Jets.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Sitting out Sunday
Booth (quadriceps) is inactive for Sunday's matchup against Chicago. Booth will miss his fourth straight consecutive game due to a quad injury he suffered Week 1. In his only appearance during the season opener, Booth didn't play a defensive snap. Because he is an exclusively special teams player, his absence likely won't make an impact on Minnesota's defense.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Unavailable vs. Saints
Booth (quadriceps) is inactive for Sunday's game against New Orleans. Booth will miss his third straight game due to a lingering quadriceps injury. The rookie second-round pick didn't play a defensive snap during his only appearance this season, which came in Minnesota's season opener.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Ruled out
Booth (quadriceps) has been ruled out for Monday's contest against the Eagles, Andrew Krammer of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Booth suffered the injury during the team's Week 1 win over the Packers and didn't return. There was optimism that with the extra day off he'd be back for Monday's contest, but the rookie second-round pick was unable to practice all week. His next chance to play will come in Week 3 against the Eagles.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Misses practice
Booth (quadriceps) did not practice Thursday, Kevin Seifert of ESPN.com reports. Booth suffered the injury during the team's Week 1 contest with the Packers and was unable to return. It was reported Monday that he had a chance to return in Week 2, but his absence from practice Thursday may have him leaning closer to doubtful than questionable. However, with the Vikings not playing until Monday, Booth will have an extra day to heal.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Chance to play Week 2
Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell said Booth (quadriceps) will have a shot at being ready for next Monday's contest against the Eagles, Alec Lewis of The Athletic reports. Booth picked up the injury during Sunday's win over the Packers, and per O'Connell, the team is still evaluating his status. However, with an extra day off, the Vikings hope they'll have enough time to clear Booth before Week 2.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Andrew Booth: Suffers ankle injury
Booth exited Saturday's preseason game against the 49ers with an ankle injury, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Booth stayed down on the field for a few minutes after suffering the injury. He was later seen limping on the sideline after being assessed in the medical tent. It's unclear how severe the issue may be, but Booth has suffered numerous lower-body injuries before reaching the NFL, including a torn PCL, quad strains and hernia issues that required surgery to repair.... Vikings' Andrew Booth: Full-go in training camp
Booth impressed during his training camp debut Wednesday after missing the spring offseason program while recovering from a sports hernia surgery, Jordy McElroy of USA Today reports. Booth made a sliding interception of quarterback Kirk Cousins while covering wideout Justin Jefferson during 11-on-11 drills Wednesday. Still, the rookie primarily worked with the Vikings' second-team defense and is set to compete with third-year cornerback Cameron Dantzler for first-team reps during training camp.... See More ...
