Bryant struggled with a toe injury over the summer and ended up missing eight games with the issue this season. He started two games before aggravating the injury in Week 2, and he never played more than 33 percent of the defensive snaps over the final seven games this year. He'll need to prove his health and his defensive prowess to earn a roster spot in 2024.

    The Seahawks placed Bryant (toe) on injured reserve Saturday, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Bryant has missed the last four games while dealing with a toe injury. Now that he's on the Seahawks' injured reserve, Bryant will be forced to sit out at least the next four game. He is eligible to return Week 10 against the Commanders on Sunday, Nov. 12.

    Bryant (toe) has been is inactive for Monday's contest with the Giants. Bryant was considered doubtful to play, so his absence comes as no surprise. The cornerback was unable to participate at all at practice this week, but the team will have its bye week in Week 5, so he'll have extra time to get right before Seattle returns to action Oct. 15 at Cincinnati. In the meantime, Kyu Blu Kelly and Mike Jackson are amongst those that will see an increase in workload Monday versus New York.

Bryant missed Week 3 against the Panthers and was unable to participate in practice this week. If he's out for Monday's game, the Seahawks' cornerback depth will be razor thin with Artie Burns (hamstring) and Tre Brown (concussion) ruled out for Week 4.     Bryant started at safety during Thursday's preseason win over the Vikings, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. Bryant also lined up in the box and impressed head coach Pete Carroll with his ability to make reads and cover ground. Carroll thinks that safety will "be a good spot for [Bryant]." The Cincinnati product came into the league as a cornerback, so there may be some growing pains. However, Bryant could get an immediate opportunity to start if Jamal Adams (quadriceps), who is still on the PUP list, isn't ready for Week 1. Julian Love is Bryant's main competition for the role.

    Bryant is expected to start the 2022 season as the Seahawks' starting nickel corner, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. The Seahawks traded Ugo Amadi to the Eagles earlier in August and cut both Marquise Brown -- a 2019 second-round pick -- and Justin Coleman on Tuesday. Those three players were the only other corners to onsistently take slot reps. Bryant may have a short leash, but he has impressed during training camp and the preseason to secure the starting job.

    The Seahawks selected Bryant in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 109th overall. Bryant joins the Seahawks after five seasons at Cincinnati, where he played across from Ahmad Gardner, who went fourth overall to the Jets. Bryant performed well in his final season, earning First Team All-American honors while recording 46 tackles, a team-high 14 pass breakups and three interceptions. The Seahawks' secondary is wide open, so Bryant could compete for a starting job right away.
