Panthers' David Moore: Productive with Panthers
Moore caught 32 of his 57 targets for 351 yards and three touchdowns across 17 regular-season games in 2024.
Moore had one of the most productive seasons of his career with Carolina in 2024, recording his highest totals in receptions, yards and touchdowns since his 2020 campaign with Seattle. He benefitted from increased offensive opportunities following Diontae Johnson's trade to Baltimore in late October and injuries to Jalen Coker and Adam Thielen throughout the season, playing the second-most offensive snaps (545) among Carolina's wide receivers. After completing his first season with the Panthers, Moore is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 30-year-old is likely to sign a short-term deal and compete for another depth role in 2025, whether in Carolina or with another team.

The veteran wideout has now accumulated 31 receptions for 342 yards and two touchdowns while appearing in all 16 of Carolina's games this season. Moore is expected to remain a depth piece in the Panthers' wide receiver corps in the Week 18 divisional matchup against the Falcons.

Panthers' David Moore: Suits up and scores Sunday
Moore (concussion) caught two of three targets for 39 yards and a touchdown while taking his only carry for no gain in Sunday's 36-30 overtime win over the Cardinals.
Moore overcame the concussion he sustained in Week 15 in order to make a spot-start for Xavier Legette (hip) on Sunday. The 29-year-old Moore made the most of his opportunity, hauling in an 18-yard touchdown reception in the fourth quarter of an eventual upset victory. It is currently unclear if Legette will return in Week 17, but Moore's ceiling is likely limited to deep leagues even in the event he earns another start against Tampa Bay next Sunday.

Panthers' David Moore: Trending toward playing Sunday
Moore (concussion) remains listed as questionable but is expected to be available for Sunday's game versus the Cardinals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Moore was a limited participant during practice Wednesday and Thursday before being listed as a full participant Friday. He still has to be cleared by an independent neurologist before exiting the five-step protocol, but the Panthers expect him to get the green light to play. With rookie wideout Xavier Legette (hip) already ruled out, Moore should have a spot available in three-receiver sets alongside Adam Thielen and Jalen Coker (quadricep), who is also questionable but expected to play.

Panthers' David Moore: Questionable for Week 16
Moore (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
Xavier Legette (hip) is out, and Jalen Coker (quadriceps) is questionable, so Moore could be looking at every-down wideout snaps if he gains clearance for Sunday. Moore was able to practice fully Friday, suggesting Moore has a good chance to suit up versus Arizona. Moore has posted a 28-286-1 line on 50 targets this season.

Panthers' David Moore: Limited in practice
Moore (concussion) was a limited practice participant Thursday.
With Xavier Legette (hip) not practicing and unlikely to play in Sunday's game against the Cardinals, there's a chance for Moore to regain a regular spot in three-wide formations if he clears concussion protocol. In the event that doesn't happen, Deven Thompkins and Dan Chisena are Carolina's healthy depth receivers.

Panthers' David Moore: Modest showing in Week 15
Moore caught two of his four targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 30-14 loss to the Cowboys.
The veteran wideout saw minimal offensive work in the first three quarters of Sunday's loss with the return and emergence of undrafted rookie Jalen Coker (4-110-1). However, Moore was targeted four times in the fourth quarter after 2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette exited the Week 15 loss with a groin injury. Moore could continue to see increased work with Carolina's first-team offense in the Week 16 matchup against the Cardinals if Legette is unable to suit up.

Panthers' David Moore: Catches two passes vs. Eagles
Moore caught two of his five targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 22-16 loss to the Eagles.
For the third consecutive game, Moore saw increased offensive work with rookie Jalen Coker (quadriceps) sidelined Sunday. The veteran wideout finished third among Panthers receivers in yards in Week 14, trailing Adam Thielen (102 yards) and Xavier Legette (39 yards). Moore has now caught 26 of his 46 targets for 267 yards and one touchdown in 12 appearances this season, with the bulk of that production coming over the last three games (13 receptions for 146 yards and one touchdown). His role on the Panthers' offense will likely diminish once Coker returns from injury.

Panthers' David Moore: Another impressive outing vs. Bucs
Moore caught five of his nine targets for 40 yards in Sunday's 26-23 overtime loss to the Buccaneers.
With rookie Jalen Coker (quadriceps) missing his second consecutive game in Week 13, Moore served as Carolina's No. 3 wide receiver, finishing with the second-most targets on the team. The veteran wideout has now recorded back-to-back games with nine or more targets, tallying 121 yards across 11 receptions during that span. Coker has yet to return to practice since sustaining this quadriceps injury, making it likely that Moore will continue to see increased opportunities in the Panthers' WR room during a Week 14 matchup against a red-hot Eagles team.

Panthers' David Moore: Surprise receiving leader in Week 12
Moore played 58 of Carolina's 62 offensive snaps and finished with six receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets in Sunday's 30-27 loss to Kansas City.
Though the Panthers returned Adam Thielen (hamstring) from injured reserve for the Week 12 contest, the absence of Jalen Coker (quadricep) opened up plenty of snaps for Moore. The 29-year-old journeyman wideout took advantage of the opportunity, pacing all Carolina pass catchers in receptions, receiving yards and targets while also hauling in Bryce Young's lone touchdown pass in the narrow loss. Coker was a non-participant in the Panthers' first Week 13 practice Wednesday and could be trending toward another absence this Sunday against the Buccaneers, putting Moore on track to play elevated snaps once again.
