  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Game-time call

Coach Todd Bowles considers Godwin (neck) a game-time decision for Sunday's matchup with Carolina, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

The Bucs added Godwin to their injury report Thursday as a limited participant, then held him out of practice entirely Friday. He apparently has a chance to play nonetheless, with Bowles suggesting Friday afternoon that the wide receiver's status is uncertain heading into a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. Godwin likely will be listed as questionable on the final injury report, with a Sunday absence meaning more playing time for Deven Thompkins and increased target-share projections for WRs Mike Evans and Trey Palmer and TE Cade Otton.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Status in question for Sunday

Godwin (neck) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

Godwin was a midweek addition to Tampa Bay's Week 13 injury report, showing up as limited Thursday due to a neck issue. He followed it up with an absence from Friday's session, after which coach Todd Bowles called Godwin a game-time decision, per Greg Auman of Fox Sports. Godwin's status won't be clarified until about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, so there will be fewer wide receivers to pivot to if he's unable to suit up. Buccaneers that would stand to benefit behind Mike Evans if that happens are WRs Trey Palmer and Deven Thompkins and TE Cade Otton.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Not at practice

Godwin (neck) isn't practicing Friday, Greg Auman of Fox Sports reports.

It's a poor sign for his Week 13 availability after he was a mid-week addition to the injury report, listed as limited in Thursday's practice. If Godwin can't play Sunday against the Panthers, his absence presumably would lead to more playing time for No. 4 WR Deven Thompkins, and possibly more targets for starters Mike Evans and Trey Palmer.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Limited Thursday by neck issue

Godwin was added to the Buccaneers' Week 13 injury report Thursday as a limited practice participant due to a neck issue.

Since he wasn't included on the initial Week 13 injury report released Wednesday, Godwin may have hurt his neck at some point during Thursday's practice session. Godwin will have one more opportunity to practice Friday before the Buccaneers potentially hand him an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Panthers.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Three catches in loss

Godwin brought in three of seven targets for 45 yards in the Buccaneers' 27-20 loss to the Colts on Sunday.

Godwin tied for second in receiving yards and was the runner-up in targets on the afternoon for Tampa Bay, but his numbers have to once again be considered a disappointment. The seven-year veteran nearly came down with a touchdown grab in the right corner of the end zone on Kyle Trask's one pass attempt, but he's now gone without a score in four consecutive contests. Godwin has failed to top 54 receiving yards in five straight games as well, dampening his fantasy outlook heading into a Week 13 home matchup against the Panthers.

  • Buccaneers' Chris Godwin: Good to go

Godwin (knee/elbow) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts.

The Bucs listed Godwin as a limited practice participant Wednesday through Friday. It seems neither of his injuries is serious, and he should handle his usual role catching short and intermediate passes from QB Baker Mayfield.
