Colts' Julian Blackmon: Picks off pass
Blackmon notched four tackles, two passes defended and an interception in Sunday's 10-6 win over the Patriots.
Blackmon's interception came at an opportune time, as the Utah product picked off a pass intended for Mike Gesicki at the Colts' one-yard line with just 4:25 remaining, helping seal Indianapolis' victory. Blackmon now has a career-high three interceptions on the season, as well as 66 tackles (47 solo) and five passes defended. After a bye week, Blackmon and the Colts will host the Buccaneers for a Week 12 matchup.

Colts' Julian Blackmon: Logs second interception
Blackman recorded five tackles (four solo), an interception and an additional pass deflection during Indianapolis' 39-38 loss to the Browns on Sunday.
Blackman was one of two Colts defenders to snag an interception, but that was not enough to give the team the win. The 25-year-old now has two interceptions on the season to go along with 50 tackles (15 solo).

Colts' Julian Blackmon: Snags first interception of year
Blackmon recorded five tackles (four solo) while also intercepting a pass and deflecting another in Sunday's 23-16 win over the Titans.
Blackmon snatched his first interception of year in the fourth quarter, stepping in front of a pass from Ryan Tannehill that was intended for DeAndre Hopkins. The pick put the game on ice for Indianapolis, and the safety is now up to 41 tackles, an interception and a pass deflection over the first five games of 2023.

Blackmon continues to be incredibly active on the Colts' defense, compiling at least nine takedowns for the third straight week. The safety registered a career-high 50 tackles over 14 games in 2022, but he's already at 36 stops through four contests in 2023.

Blackmon ranked second on Indianapolis in stops behind Zaire Franklin, who tallied 13. Blackmon has played on every defensive snap for the Colts through two weeks and has totaled 15 tackles. He set a career high with 50 stops over 14 contests last season.

Blackmon started at strong safety and had five tackles in Sunday's loss to Jacksonville.
Blackmon had an off day in coverage by allowing three receptions on four targets for 42 yards, according to Pro Football Focus. However, he enters the regular season healthy after missing time in training camp to a hamstring injury. Blackmon played all 70 snaps on defense. A return to full strength is a good sign since he's struggled to stay on the field. The 2020 third-rounder was limited to six games in 2021 due to an Achilles injury, and last season he missed three games and parts of another due to an ankle injury.

Colts' Julian Blackmon: Getting back on the field
Blackmon (hamstring) will practice Tuesday, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Blackmon has yet to practice with his team, as he's been sidelined by the injury since camp opened. He'll now have just under four weeks to get ready for the team's season opener against the Jaguars.

Colts' Julian Blackmon: May return soon
Blackmon (hamstring) will return "hopefully sooner than later," according to head coach Shane Steichen, Nate Atkins of The Indianapolis Star reports.
Blackmon has yet to participate in training camp due to the injury, but it appears his absences could be coming to an end soon. Steichen mentioned last Thursday that the Utah product was progressing well in his recovery, but he's apparently still not quite 100 percent.

Blackmon continues to make progress in his recovery from a hamstring injury, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Blackmon remains sidelined, but he's progressing well and doing a good job with his rehab, according to head coach Shane Steichen. The 24-year-old has been out of action since training camp started, but with Week 1 still over a month away, the Colts' projected starter at free safety still has several weeks to make a full recovery.

Blackmon (hamstring) didn't practice Wednesday and remains without a return timetable, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Blackmon didn't join his teammates on the field for the first day of training camp. The starting safety has plenty of time to heal up before the Colts kick off the regular season Sept. 10 against the Jaguars. The team's preseason opener is Aug. 12 in Buffalo.
