Vikings' Andre Mintze: Heading to Minnesota
Mintze signed a contract with the Vikings on Monday.
Mintze joins Minnesota after totaling four tackles on 133 combined defensive and special-teams snaps over six games as a rookie for Denver. The 2021 undrafted free agent played in five of the team's first six games, but he then missed about two-and-a-half months while sitting out on the injured reserve and reserve/COVID-19 lists. Mintze was waived by the Broncos in May and he now will look to carve out a depth role with the Vikings this offseason.

Broncos' Andre Mintze: Back for Week 17
Mintze (illness/hamstring) was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday.
Mintze was designated to return from injured reserve Dec. 22 before landing on the COVID-19 list Monday, but he's cleared the league protocols and will be available for Sunday's matchup with the Chargers. The 23-year-old has been sidelined by the hamstring injury since Week 6 and should resume his role on special teams now that he's healthy.

Broncos' Andre Mintze: Enters COVID protocols
Mintze (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Ben Swanson of the Broncos' official site reports, and he tested positive for the virus, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Mintze was placed on IR with a hamstring injury on Oct. 19, but he was designated to return on Dec. 22. He started practicing with the Broncos again last week ahead of their game with the Raiders. Now that he's hit the COVID list, his potential return has hit a hurdle that he'll need to clear before suiting up against the Chargers on Sunday.

The Broncos designated Mintze (hamstring) to return from their injured reserve Wednesday.
Mintze was placed on the Broncos' IR in mid-October, and the linebacker has just managed to return to practice. Expect the former Vanderbilt product to continue to mostly only see snaps on special teams once he's activated to Denver's active roster.

Broncos' Andre Mintze: Shifted over to IR
Mintze (hamstring) was moved to injured reserve Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
The linebacker left Sunday's contest early versus the Raiders with the injury. He will now miss at least three weeks before he can be activated from the IR and return to action. Mintze has been most utilized this season on special teams, only playing 25 snaps on the defensive unit.

Mintze (hamstring) has been downgraded to out of Sunday's game against Las Vegas.
Denver's special teams are taking a hit, as Mintze joins Baron Browning on the list of players who are now out for the remainder of the game. The Vanderbilt product has a short turnaround with the Broncos' Week 7 matchup coming Thursday night at Cleveland.

Mintze was unable to play in last week's loss to the Ravens, but he logged a full practice Friday. The 23-year-old recorded just two tackles (one solo) across his first three appearances of the season and is unlikely to see significant playing time Sunday.

Mintze (concussion) returned to practice Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Mintze was in concussion protocol last week, but the rookie linebacker's return to practice puts him on track to play in the Saturday's preseason contest against the Rams. The 22-year-old was having a solid training camp before missing time. Mintze turned in an impressive performance in Denver's first preseason game, in which he recorded three tackles, one sack and one tackle for loss. The undrafted free agent will look to secure a spot on the team's roster with a strong showing in Denver's third preseason game on Aug. 28.
