  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Back with Denver on one-year deal

Humphrey is re-signing with the Broncos on a one-year contract, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports. Humphrey had 162 receiving yards and three touchdowns with Denver in 2023. He could have an opportunity to climb the depth chart after the Broncos traded Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland on Saturday, though Humphrey has yet to reach 250 receiving yards in a season since debuting with the Saints in 2019.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Scores three touchdowns in 2023

Humphrey ended the 2023 season with 13 receptions on 19 targets for 162 yards and three touchdowns. In his first year with the Broncos, Humphrey played in all 17 games despite moving between Denver's practice squad and active roster throughout the season. The veteran wideout wasn't used much as an offensive weapon, but he was still able to finish the season tied with tight end Adam Trautman for the third-most scores among all Broncos pass catchers. Humphrey is set to become a free agent this offseason, so the 25-year-old could find himself in a new locale when the 2024 campaign begins. If he signs back with Denver, he'll likely find it difficult to see consistent playing time behind fellow wideouts Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Marvin Mims.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Incredible individual effort for TD

Humphrey caught two of four targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Chargers. Humphrey made the play of the game in the second quarter when he took a short pass from Jarrett Stidham and proceeded to juke and jive his way past several certain tackle opportunities before extending the ball past the goal line for a 54-yard touchdown. It was the only touchdown either team would record Sunday. It would have also counted as the game-winning score in hockey after the wideout's incredible play gave Denver a lead it would never surrender. While Humphrey had the best game out of any receiver, it is important to point out that his four targets finished third for the Broncos behind starters Jerry Jeudy and Brandon Johnson. Perhaps Humphrey's impressive catch and run will earn him more snaps and targets when the Broncos visit the Raiders in Week 18.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Plays more than Mims again

Humphrey logged 38 of the Broncos' 67 snaps on offense and hauled in his lone target for a 12-yard reception in Sunday's 24-7 win over the Chargers. For the second week in a row, Humphrey worked as the Broncos' No. 3 receiver ahead of rookie Marvin Mims, taking on a 57 percent snap share to Mims' 37 percent. Though his playing time appears to be on the rise, Humphrey is typically little more than a tertiary option in the passing game while he often shares the field with Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy and Javonte Williams. Humphrey has drawn exactly one target in five straight contests.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Back to active roster

Humphrey was elevated to the Broncos' active roster Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of Denver's official website reports. Humphrey will continue his trend of being elevated ahead of each of the Broncos' contests this year, joining the active roster for eighth consecutive contest. The wide receiver has caught four passes for 26 yards and a touchdown while playing 121 offensive snaps this season.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Back with Denver

Denver signed Humphrey to its practice squad and elevated him to the active roster ahead of Sunday's game against Green Bay, Field Yates of ESPN reports. It didn't take long for the Broncos to bring Humphrey back, as the 25-year-old was let go Friday after the team claimed Keondre Coburn off waivers. Humphrey has bounced back and forth between Denver's practice squad and active roster this season. He's appeared in all six of the Broncos' games thus far, recording four receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown.

  • Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Back to practice squad

Humphries reverted back to the Broncos' practice squad Friday, per the NFL's transaction log. The Broncos elevated Humphries to their active roster for Thursday's loss to the Chiefs. He ultimately saw 12 offensive snaps (24 percent). The depth receiver has four receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown in six games this season. He will now continue to put in work at practice and await another opportunity to be called up.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Up from practice squad

Humphrey was elevated to the active roster for Thursday night's game against the Chiefs, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports. The wide receiver was released from the active roster Wednesday before being re-signed to the practice squad. Humphrey has four catches for 26 yards and a touchdown in five games this season. At the same time, the fifth-year pro's playing time has gone down after he played 71 percent of the snaps in Week 1.

  • Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Gets released by Denver

The Broncos released Humphrey on Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Since playing a 71 percent of the snaps on offense in the Broncos' Week 1 loss to the Raiders, Humphrey has seen his playing time steadily decline. He's logged snap shares ranging from 12 to 31 percent over the Broncos' subsequent four contests, garnering just three targets during that stretch. His release leaves Denver with just four wideouts on the 53-man roster.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Catches one pass in loss

Humphrey caught one of his two targets for four yards in Sunday's 35-33 loss to the Commanders. Humphrey saw a major dip in his snap share percentage Sunday, taking the field for 32 percent of the Broncos offensive plays after reaching a 71 percent snap share in Week 1. The veteran wideout's drop in usage was expected with the return of Jerry Jeudy into the lineup. With that said, Humphrey still worked ahead of Marvin Mims, but it was the rookie who made the most of his opportunities with 113 receiving yards, including a 60-yard touchdown grab. Humphrey could likely see his chances limited even more going forward if Mims can continue to take advantage of his playmaking ability in Denver's passing attack. The 25-year-old should remain off the fantasy radar when the Broncos visit the Dolphins in Week 3.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Returns to practice squad

Humphrey reverted to the Broncos' practice squad Monday. Humphrey was elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's 17-16 loss to the Raiders, reeling both of his targets for 11 yards and a touchdown while playing 41 out of the team's 64 offensive snaps. If Jerry Jeudy (hamstring) remains unavailable in Week 2 versus the Commanders, it's possible the wide receiver is elevated to the active roster once again.

  • Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Added to practice squad

Humphrey joined the Broncos' practice squad Wednesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Humphrey led the Broncos with eight receptions on 12 targets for 113 receiving yards during the preseason, but that was not enough to get him through final roster cuts. However, his strong training camp secured him a spot on the practice squad, where he will now continue to work at making an impression.

  • Broncos' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Finds work in Denver

The Broncos signed Humphrey on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Humphrey jumped between New England's practice squad and its active roster during the 2022 campaign, and he ultimately appeared in six games for the Patriots before being let go in November. The 24-year-old wide receiver is now slated to compete for one of Denver's roster spots in training camp.

  • Patriots' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Moved up from practice squad

The Patriots elevated Humphrey from the practice squad Saturday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports. With Nelson Agholor (hamstring) getting downgraded to out for Sunday's game in Cleveland, Humphrey will move up from the practice squad to bolster the Patriots' depth at receiver. While playing in all five of the Patriots' games to date, Humphrey has produced only two receptions for 20 yards across 125 snaps on offense.

  • Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Signs with Pats' practice squad

New England signed Humphrey to its practice squad Wednesday, Mike Dussault of the Patriots' official site reports. Fellow wideout Tre Nixon will join Humphrey on the practice squad, giving New England a couple of in-house promotion options should an injury strike one of the wideouts on the 53-man roster. With New Orleans last season, Humphrey appeared in 10 games and totaled 13 receptions for 249 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Patriots' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Sees some TE reps

Humphrey relayed Monday that he's seen some reps at tight end in training camp, Zack Cox of NESN.com reports. If the 6-foot-4, 225 pounder -- who is listed as a wide receiver -- demonstrates that he has the versatility to play some tight end, it potentially could help him land a roster spot. Though two preseason games, Humphrey has logged 11 catches for 133 yards and a TD, while also making a mark on special teams.

  • Saints' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Re-ups with Saints

New Orleans re-signed Humphrey, a restricted free agent, to a contract Wednesday, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Humphrey recently dealt with an ankle injury, per Underhill, but he's fully on track for the start of the offseason program. After compiling a career-high 249 receiving yards through 10 games last season, Humphrey figures to once again compete for a depth role with the Saints.

  • Saints' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Good to go Week 17

Humphrey (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Panthers, John DeShazier of the team's official site reports. Humphrey dealt with a non-COVID-19 illness late in the week, but he'll be out there against Carolina for the late-season divisional clash. The 23-year-old is coming off a career-best three-catch, 70-yard performance against the Dolphins in Week 16, numbers he generated with rookie Ian Book at quarterback.

  • Saints' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Iffy for Week 17

The Saints list Humphrey as questionable for Sunday's game against the Panthers with an illness. Humphrey was a late addition to the Saints' Week 17 injury report after he failed to practice Friday upon coming down with the ailment. The wideout hasn't been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list and should have a shot at being available Sunday, provided he makes good progress in his recovery over the next 48 hours. With three catches for 70 yards on five targets in the Week 16 loss to Miami, Humphrey was one of the few Saints skill-position players to deliver a useful fantasy line in the game, though his involvement in the passing game could take a step back with Deonte Harris (suspension) back in action this weekend following a three-game hiatus.

  • Saints' Lil'Jordan Humphrey: Practices in limited fashion

Humphrey (hamstring) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. The limited session marks a step forward for Humphrey, who didn't participate in practice last Friday due to the hamstring injury before sitting out Sunday's win over the Jets. He remained idle for the Saints' first Week 15 practice Wednesday, but Humphrey's return to the field Thursday should give him a chance at being available this weekend in Tampa Bay. If he's cleared to suit up, Humphrey could serve as the Saints' No. 3 receiver, a role that Kenny Stills filled last week to little success (no targets on 27 snaps).
