Broncos' Brandon Jones: Dealing with hamstring issue
Jones tweaked his hamstring at practice Friday, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
The severity of the injury isn't known at this point, but even seemingly minor hamstring issues sometimes have a tendency to linger. Until Jones is healthy enough to practice again, 2023 sixth-rounder JL Skinner could get more looks during team drills.

Broncos' Brandon Jones: Set for three-year deal in Denver
The Broncos are slated to ink Jones to a three-year contract, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Jones logged an impressive end to his rookie deal in Miami with 48 tackles (36 solo), four pass breakups, two interceptions and one forced fumble (which he recovered) in 2023. The soon-to-be 26-year-old should be able to solidify a Denver defense that's struggled under coach Sean Payton. The Broncos could continue adding to the safety room, but for now, Jones and P.J. Locke look like the likeliest candidates to start the 2024 campaign.

Jones racked up 48 tackles (36 solo), four pass breakups, two interceptions and one fumble, which he recovered, across 16 regular-season appearances in 2023.
Jones, a 2020 third-round pick, handled his usual reserve role at safety for Miami, starting six contests due to injuries ahead of him on the depth chart. He performed admirably when given the opportunity, especially in a Week 15 win over the Jets in which he logged two INTs. It wouldn't be surprising to see the Dolphins work to retain Jones on a team-friendly deal this offseason, given his fit and familiarity in the secondary.

Dolphins' Brandon Jones: Snags two picks versus Jets
Jones tallied five tackles (five solo) and two interceptions during Miami's 30-0 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Jones got the start at safety with DeShon Elliott (concussion) out and had his best performance of the season, snagging two interceptions. Through 13 games this season, the 2020 third-round pick has totaled 31 tackles (23 solo) in addition to his two picks.

Jones missed the team's loss to the Chiefs in Germany in Week 9 while dealing with a concussion, but he now appears ready to go for Sunday's game against the Raiders. The 25-year-old will be back in his role as a backup option at safety in Miami's secondary.

Dolphins' Brandon Jones: Won't play Week 9
Jones (concussion) did not travel with the team to Germany on Wednesday and will not play in Week 9 against the Chiefs, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
Jones took over as the starting free safety for Week 8 against the Patriots after Jevon Holland (concussion) was ruled out for the contest. Jones sustained a head injury in the contest, did not return and has not progressed through the league's concussion protocols enough to play in Week 9 against the Chiefs. He'll look to work his way back after the bye in Week 11 against the Raiders.
