  • Panthers' Jalen Camp: Staying in Carolina

The Panthers signed Camp to a reserve/future contract Monday, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports. Camp spent time on Houston's and Pittsburgh's practice squads before joining Carolina's taxi squad Dec. 6. He wasn't elevated in 2023, but he will have a chance to make the Panthers' 53-man active roster for the 2024 season.

  • Jalen Camp: Gets chance with Carolina

Camp signed with the Panthers' practice squad Wednesday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. Camp was most recently with the Steelers organization after not making the Texans roster out of training camp. The Georgia Tech product has appeared in five games combined between the last two seasons, all with Houston and has recorded one catch for seven yards.

  • Jalen Camp: Cut from Pittsburgh's practice team

The Steelers cut Camp from their practice squad Tuesday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports. Just a week after signing with Pittsburgh's practice squad, Camp is now parting ways with the team. He's a great athlete but continues to struggle to find his footing at the NFL level.

  • Jalen Camp: Finds new opportunity

Camp signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday, Mike DeFabo of The Athletic reports. Camp has spent time with Houston in each of the last two seasons, but he was unable to make the 53-man roster this season and remained a free agent. The Georgia Tech product will now get a chance in Pittsburgh, which is dealing with injuries to Allen Robinson (ankle) and Gunner Olszewski who is in concussion protocols.

  • Jalen Camp: Let go by Houston

The Texans waived Camp on Tuesday. Camp spent most of the 2022 campaign on the Texans' practice squad and remained with the team on a reserve/future deal during the offseason. However, he was unable to earn a spot on the 53-man roster and could settle for a role on a practice squad once again.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Earns new deal

Camp (oblique) signed a reserve/future contract with the Texans on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Camp closed the season on the team's practice squad injured list. The 2021 sixth-round selection of the Jaguars played two games for Houston this season, catching his only target for seven yards. He'll work to earn a larger role with the team next year.

  • Jalen Camp: Heads to PS injured list

The Texans placed Camp (oblique) on their practice squad injured list Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Camp was elevated to Houston's active roster from the practice squad ahead of Week 14, but he suffered an oblique injury during the loss to Dallas that's landed him on the practice squad injured list. Given the Texans have been eliminated from the playoffs and have only four regular-season games left, Camp's 2022 campaign is officially over. The 2021 sixth-round pick caught his only target for seven yards across 20 offensive snaps in two appearances.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Bumped up for Week 14

The Texans elevated Camp from the practice squad Saturday for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Camp will step up with top wideouts Brandin Cooks (personal) and Nico Collins (foot) both ruled out Week 14. While the practice-squad receiver has seen the field only once so far this season, catching his lone target for seven yards over 14 offensive snaps Week 9, he'll likely vie with Amari Rodgers for a role as Houston's No. 3 receiver against Dallas. Since this is Camp's third elevation from the Texans' practice squad, he will now require a full spot on the active roster to suit up for the team again in 2022.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: One catch in loss

Camp caught his lone target for seven yards in Thursday's 29-17 loss to Philadelphia in Week 9. Both Camp (15 snaps) and Tyron Johnson (25 snaps, one target) were on the active roster with Brandin Cooks (personal) and Nico Collins (groin) inactive, but neither wideout stood out. Cooks is expected to be ready for Week 10 against the Giants, so one of these two likely will be sitting.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Gets call to active roster

Houston elevated Camp from its practice squad to the active roster Saturday for Sunday's matchup against Tennessee. Camp joined the Texans' practice squad after failing to make the team's initial 53-man roster and will have a chance to make his season debut in Week 8 after being elevated to the active roster. Nico Collins (groin) has already been ruled out and Brandin Cooks (wrist) is questionable, so it's possible Camp gets involved offensively, though he's still unlikely to crack fantasy relevance.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Gets reps in preseason opener

Camp caught two of four targets for 53 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 17-13 preseason win over New Orleans. Camp scored Houston's first touchdown, a four-yard reception late in the first quarter, then caught a 49-yard bomb in the fourth quarter during a two-minute drill to set up the game-winning score. He's on the roster bubble, but due to John Metchie's illness, Camp is in the mix for a final wideout spot. Per a roster projection from Brooks Kubena of the Houston Chronicle, the 6-foot-2 Camp has stood out during practice drills with size and has broken at least two catches for long touchdowns.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Elevated by Texans for Week 18

Camp was elevated to the Texans' active roster Saturday ahead of the team's Week 18 matchup with the Titans, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. The wide receiver was elevated in Week 17, failing to draw a target in the Texans' loss to the 49ers. Camp will look to make the most of this week's opportunity as the Texans play their final game of the season.

  • Texans' Jalen Camp: Moves to active roster

Camp was promoted from the practice squad to active roster Saturday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports. Camp was a sixth-round selection of the Jaguars in the 2021 Draft, but he was cut loose at the end of training camp and snatched up by the Texans. The Georgia Tech product has yet to make his NFL debut, but with Brandin Cooks on the reserve/COVID-19 list, that should change Sunday against the Chargers.
