Winfield recorded eight tackles (six solo), including a sack and an additional tackle for loss, an interception and two additional defensed passes in the Buccaneers' 21-18 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Winfield's standout day included a team-leading tackle total, his third sack of the season and a game-clinching interception of Bryce Young with 2:21 remaining. The fourth-year safety is up to a career-high 11 defensed passes and is surrendering a career-low 47.4 percent completion rate in primary coverage. Moreover, he's arguably in his best stretch of the season in terms of his IDP production, as he now has recorded 34 tackles (23 solo) along with Sunday's sack and interception, in the last three contests.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: Has another big day Sunday
Winfield recorded 10 tackles (eight solo) and a pass defensed in Sunday's 27-20 loss at Indianapolis.
Winfield managed a double-digit tackle total for the second straight game and the third time this season in Week 12. He's on pace for the first 100-tackle season of his career, but he'll probably spend a lot of time defending against the pass in Week 13 versus the Panthers.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: Career-high tackle total Sunday
Winfield collected 16 tackles (nine solo) in the Buccaneers' 27-14 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
The fourth-year safety was all over the field, compiling a career-high tackle total that was partly the byproduct of Lavonte David exiting the game in the second half with a groin strain. Winfield now has two double-digit tackle tallies on the campaign, and his prolific effort against the 49ers pushed him over the 70-tackle mark for fourth time in as many pro seasons. With David and Winfield's secondary mates Carlton Davis (hip) and Jamel Dean (foot/ankle) all suddenly iffy for a Week 12 road matchup against the Colts, Winfield could be due for another busy afternoon versus Indianapolis.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: First interception of season
Winfield recorded six total tackles, one interception and one pass defended in Sunday's 20-6 win against the Titans.
Winfield led the team in total tackles with three solo and three assisted tackles throughout the outing Sunday, and capped off his performance with an interception late in the fourth quarter and returned it for 28 yards. The 25-year-old safety has proven to be the team's leading safety with 573 team snaps compared to Ryan Neal's 424, but he enters a tough Week 11 matchup against the 49ers and their dynamic pass catchers.

Winfield's tackle total was the most he has recorded through three games this season. He also saw the field for all 78 defensive snaps, which makes it back-to-back contests in which he's played every defensive snap. The safety will look to stay active in Week 4 when the Bucs head to New Orleans.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: Records sack in eight-tackle effort
Winfield furnished eight tackles (four solo), including a sack, and forced and recovered a fumble while also breaking up a pass in the Buccaneers' 20-17 win over the Vikings on Sunday.
Winfield was one of two Bucs to take down Kirk Cousins on the afternoon, with his first-quarter sack resulting in a fumble the star safety was able to corral. That led to Tampa Bay's first points of the season in the form of a Chase McLaughlin field goal and ignited what would be a terrific all-around fantasy performance. Winfield recorded as many as eight stops in only two of 13 games last season, so the start to his 2023 campaign is certainly encouraging.

Winfield missed Tampa Bay's final preseason game while dealing with an undisclosed leg injury, but he appears to be ready to go for Sunday's regular-season opener versus the Vikings. The safety is entering his fourth season with the team and recorded 64 solo tackles, including a career-high four sacks, in 2022.

Buccaneers' Antoine Winfield: Hopeful for Week 1 return
Head coach Todd Bowles told reporters Sunday that the team is "hopeful" Winfield (undisclosed) will be ready for the Bucs' season opener against the Vikings on Sept. 10, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
Winfield sat out Saturday's 26-20 preseason win over the Ravens and was seen watching from the sidelines with a sleeve on his leg. Most of the Bucs' starters played in the preseason finale outside of Winfield, linebacker Lavonte David and wide receiver Mike Evans. Nolan Turner, Richard LeCounte and Christian Izien should fill in for Winfield if the 2020 second-round pick is ruled out for Week 1.
