Saints' Michael Jacobson: Signs reserve/future contract

The Saints signed Jacobson to a reserve/future contract Monday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Jacobson joined the Saints' practice squad Sept. 13 after being cut by the Colts following training camp. He did not play in 2023, but Jacobson will stick around in New Orleans and compete for a roster spot for the 2024 season.

New Orleans signed Jacobson to its practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
After being cut from Indianapolis' practice squad back in August, Jacobson has now found an opportunity to make an impression with a different team. However, with Juwan Johnson, Foster Moreau and Jimmy Graham already on the active roster, it's not likely he'll be promoted anytime soon.

Jacobson joined the Colts' practice squad in October of 2021 after opening the season on the Seahawks' practice squad. He signed a futures deal with Indianapolis in January but finds himself among a wave of cuts ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The former Iowa State basketball player has yet to appear in an NFL regular season game.
