The Broncos re-signed Griffith to a one-year deal Wednesday, Parker Gabriel of the Denver Post reports.
Griffith was slated to be a restricted free agent but is now set to return to Denver for the 2024 campaign. The 27-year-old missed the entirety of last season due to a torn ACL but will look to get healthy and be good to go for the start of next season.

Griffith suffered the injury during a special-teams drill Tuesday when he stepped on another player's foot. Mike Klis of 9News reported the severity of the injury earlier Thursday, so his official move to injured reserve doesn't come as a surprise. In Griffith's absence, the team signed linebacker Austin Ajiake.

Griffith suffered a torn ACL during practice Tuesday, Mike Klis of 9News reports.
Griffith left the practice field early Tuesday, but the severity of the injury was not known at the time. After further testing, it was revealed the 26-year-old suffered a season-ending torn ACL injury, which will require surgery to repair. It's naturally a blow to both the Indiana State product and the Broncos linebacker corps, considering Grifftih was expected to fill a rotational depth role after starting eight games last season. He'll now focus on his recovery and being ready for 2024.

Griffith (undisclosed) missed the Broncos' practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the team's official site reports.
The linebacker left the field during Tuesday's session with the help of trainers. Griffith started eight games and recorded 46 tackles and an interception in 2022. The fourth-year player is slotted into a depth role as Week 1 approaches.

Griffith suffered a foot injury during Thursday's practice, and he's in line to miss an indefinite amount of time, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
The Broncos can't seem to catch a break when it comes to player injuries, as Griffith is now slated to join Baron Browning (hip), Randy Gregory (knee), Christopher Allen (foot) and Aaron Patrick (knee) among the team's injured linebackers. Heading into Sunday's contest versus the Raiders, Alex Singleton and Josey Jewell are in line to serve as the Broncos' top inside linebackers. While the severity of Griffith's injury have yet to be determined, his next chance to suit up will come in Week 12 against the Panthers.

Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett said Wednesday that there's a chance Griffith (elbow) is ready for Denver's regular season opener against Seattle, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Griffith dislocated his elbow during the team's preseason opener against the Cowboys and was expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks. However, based Hackett's comment, it appears like he may be able to return at the front end of that estimate. Denver signed Joe Schobert as a contingency plan after Griffith suffered the injury, but the veteran was released yesterday, which is another good sign Griffith will be back sooner rather than later. Griffith had been operating as a first-string inside linebacker during training camp, so his availability is pivotal for the Broncos defense.

Griffith sustained a dislocated left elbow during the Broncos' preseason opener against the Cowboys on Saturday, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports.
Griffith exited Thursday's exhibition and headed straight to Denver's locker room after sustaining this injury on just the second play from scrimmage. The second-year linebacker out of Indiana State was also seen with his left arm wrapped and in a sling postgame, according to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic. It's unclear just how long Griffith will be sidelined with this injury, but his absence could be a significant loss for Denver, as he has operated as the team's first-string inside linebacker throughout much of training camp.
