Delvin Breaux: Headed to CFL
Breaux signed a one-year contract Monday to play for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL, Justin Dunk of 3DownNation.com reports.
Breaux will return to where his professional football career started after playing in just six games over the last two season in New Orleans. The defensive back had two great seasons with the Tiger-Cats, and he will now look to return to form after a fractured fibula ended his 2017 NFL campaign before it even started.

Saints' Delvin Breaux: Headed for open market
Breaux will become an unrestricted free agent Wednesday at the start of the league year, Mike Triplett of ESPN.com reports.
The Saints could've used a tender to re-sign Breaux as a restricted free agent, but they'll instead let him walk after he missed 10 games in 2016 and the entire season in 2017. He spent two years in the CFL after going undrafted in 2012, eventually landing with the Saints in 2015 for a shocking breakout season that included 15 starts and three interceptions in 16 games. The 28-year-old Breaux may need to battle for a roster spot wherever he ends up signing.

Saints' Delvin Breaux: Cleared for offseason activities
Breaux (leg) posted Wednesday on his personal Instagram account that he has been cleared for full activities.
Breaux fractured his fibula in training camp and was placed on injured reserve to begin the season, with the team later designating him for return in October. However, the cornerback was unable to progress as quickly as hoped, ultimately prompting the Saints to shut him down for good once his three-week evaluation window closed. It sounds like Breaux is approaching full health and should face no limitations heading into the 2018 campaign, but the 28-year-old, who has made 22 career starts for the Saints, will likely have to settle for a reserve role if he's re-signed in the offseason after rookie Marshon Lattimore and second-year corner Ken Crawley performed at high levels in 2017.

Saints' Delvin Breaux: Shut down for season
Saints head coach Sean Payton said Thursday that Breaux (leg) suffered a setback in practice last week that will keep him on injured reserve for the rest of the season, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The Saints had earmarked a spot for Breaux as one of their two players designated to return from IR, but with Payton indicating that the cornerback's setback with his fractured left fibula would keep him off the field for an additional 3-to-6 weeks, it was easy decision for New Orleans to shut down the 28-year-old for good. With young corners Marshon Lattimore, Ken Crawley and P.J. Williams all playing well and helping stage a dramatic turnaround for a New Orleans secondary that has struggled in recent seasons, Breaux's absence hasn't been felt nearly as much as the Saints may have anticipated heading into 2017.

Breaux, who has a fractured fibula, is expected to be sidelined for at least another month -- which is a blow to a Saints secondary that allowed a league-worst 273.8 passing yards per game in 2016. He isn't eligible for the Physically Unable to Perform list because a player would have to be on that list from the start of training camp in order for it to carry over into the regular season. If he's indeed placed on IR and then marked as designated for return, Breaux will first be eligible to play in Week 10 against the Bills on Nov. 12.

Recent reports suggested that Breaux would be sidelined anywhere from 4-6 weeks following his surgery, but it seems that six weeks is a more accurate depiction of his timeline. With that being said, it's unlikely he'll be 100 percent for the season opener, but Breaux could be back in time for Week 2 assuming he avoids any setbacks.
