Chiefs' Chris Jones: Lives up to hype in 2022
Jones posted 44 tackles (30 solo) and 15.5 sacks, adding two forced fumbles and a recovery over 17 games during the 2022 regular season.
Jones matched a career-best mark with 15.5 sacks in 2022 and notched a career-high 44 tackles to boot, though the recent addition of an extra regular-season game didn't hurt. Jones stayed on the field for every game for the first time since 2018 and produced enough for the Chiefs to look into an extension with the seventh-year defensive tackle, who will enter 2023 on the final year of his four-year deal.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Ready to roll Sunday
Jones (illness) is active for Sunday's game against the Texans, Matt McMullen of the Chiefs' official site reports.
After practicing fully in both of Wednesday's and Thursday's sessions, Jones missed Friday's practice entirely due to an illness and was in jeopardy of missing Week 15. However, it's since been revealed that the 310-pounder is going to suit up this weekend in Houston where he should continue operating in his usual starting spot on Kansas City's defensive line.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Questionable with illness
Jones (illness) did not participate at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game at Houston.
It's a new concern for Jones, who hasn't missed a game so far this season. The three-time Pro Bowler does have a full day Saturday to recover before the game at the Texans kicks off Sunday, but if he's forced to sit out, Derrick Nnadi would probably be in line to see more work on the interior of Kansas City's defensive line.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Wrangles two sacks in win
Jones recorded five tackles (five solo), including two sacks, during Sunday's 30-27 win over the Chargers.
Jones brought down opposing quarterback Justin Herbert twice in the fourth quarter, including a timely sack for a five-yard loss on the Chargers' second-to-last offensive play of the game. The star defensive lineman has now recorded nine sacks over 10 games this season, including seven over the Chiefs' last five contests. Jones will have a chance to eclipse double-digit sacks for the second time in his career while facing the Rams' injury-riddled offensive line this coming Sunday.

Chiefs' Chris Jones: Two sacks in Week 2
Jones notched three tackles (two solo), two sacks and one pass defense during Thursday's 27-24 win over the Chargers.
Both of Jones' sacks came on third-down plays and ended with the Chargers having to punt. First, the defensive tackle flushed Justin Herbert out of the pocket on a third-and-1 play late in the second quarter, and the quarterback failed to get back to the line of scrimmage. Jones' second sack came on a third-and-10 play in the middle of the third quarter, setting up the Chiefs' game-tying field-goal drive. After a slow start in Week 1, Jones stepped his game up in the primetime matchup and will look to continue his strong play against the Colts in Week 3.
