  • 49ers' Kemoko Turay: Not listed on injury report

Turay isn't listed on the 49ers' injury report Thursday. Turay was absent for the team's loss to the Broncos on Sunday night due to a personal matter, but it appears he's since returned to the team and figures to be available for Week 4. However, the 2018 second-round pick has yet to take the field for San Francisco this season, so his return won't have a major impact on the 49ers' defensive game plan.

  • Kemoko Turay: Let go by 49ers

San Francisco released Turay on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Turay racked up a respectable nine tackles and 5.5 sacks in 13 games with the Colts, but he couldn't secure a situational depth role on the 49ers' initial 53-man roster. The 27-year-old defensive end seems like a fair candidate to draw interest elsewhere in the league, if not to rejoin San Francisco at a later date.

  • Colts' Kemoko Turay: Enjoys two-sack outing

Turay notched three tackles (two solo) and two sacks during Sunday's win over the Dolphins. Turay feasted against Miami's deficient O-line, bringing down quarterback Jacoby Brissett for his first two sacks of the season. However, the 2018 second-round pick remains in a rotational role, so it's hard to rely on him for fantasy purposes. He's never racked up more than four sacks in a single season.

  • Colts' Kemoko Turay: Recovering from surgery

Turay underwent a second ankle surgery this offseason according to general manager Chris Ballard, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports. Turay's initial surgery in 2019 wasn't as successful as he'd hoped, so the 2018 second-round pick recently underwent a second procedure that he is recovering well from. Turay flashed some promise as a rookie, compiling 15 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble in that 2018 campaign. The Colts are optimistic Turay will be cleared to go by June, and if he recovers ahead of the 2021 campaign, it could provide a notable boost to the Colts' defensive front.

  • Colts' Kemoko Turay: Listed as questionable for Sunday

Turay (hip) carries the questionable tag for Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Phillip Heilman of The Florida Times-Union reports. Turay was a late addition to the injury report after logging a full practice Friday. Even if a player is listed as a full participant in practice, they must still appear on the injury report if they received any treatment for an injury. What this means for Turay is that he is more than likely fine to play in Week 13, but he did receive treatment for a hip injury. If Turay is surprisingly inactive Sunday or needs to miss time, Carroll Phillips or Al-Quadin Muhammad could see more work at defensive end.

Turay (neck) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Turay sat out the Colts' win over the Jaguars in Week 10 due to the neck injury, but his lack of limitations Wednesday suggests he's on track to suit up Sunday against the Titans. Barring any setbacks, expect the rookie second-round pick to play a rotational role at defensive end.

Turay (neck) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Turay missed two consecutive practices to end the week, and there appears to be a realistic chance that the rookie defensive end will miss Sunday's tilt against the Jaguars. If Turay were to remain sidelined for any amount of time, Carroll Phillips would serve as the top backup to starter Jabaal Sheard.
