Jackson was released from the Texans' practice squad Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of Sportstalk 790 Houston reports.
Jackson was cut by the Texans during training camp and signed to the practice squad in late November, and he's now being let go once again. The 28-year-old hasn't seen game action since appearing in four games between the Cowboys and Packers in 2018.

Jackson signed with the Texans on Aug. 10 and had five carries for 37 yards and a touchdown during the second preseason game against the Packers, but he apparently didn't show enough to warrant a longer look. The 27-year-old hasn't played in an NFL game since 2018 and spent most of 2020 on the Colts' practice squad.
