Falcons' Jaleel Johnson: Scooped up by Atlanta
The Falcons claimed Johnson off waivers Monday. Johnson will land with Atlanta after being waived by the Texans on Monday. The 28-year-old nose tackle played played three games after signing with Houston on Oct. 27, recording five tackles and one sack while playing 83 of his 91 snaps on defense. Johnson worked out for the Falcons on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Johnson was let go by the Saints in August with an undisclosed injury, but his recent workout with Atlanta indicates he's moved past the issue. Johnson produced 44 tackles (22 solo) and 1.5 sacks through his 16 games in the 2020 campaign. In his fourth year with Minnesota, Johnson had a larger role and earned much more playing time, allowing him to compile a career high in tackles.
