Redmond was elected to return from IR as he was working his way back from a torn ACL he suffered in 2015. However, the team decided to not activate the cornerback to the 53-man roster, meaning he will remain on the IR for the remainder of the season. The rookie will shift his focus to returning to the field completely healthy next year as Jimmie Ward and Tramaine Brock will continue to to start at cornerback this season.
