  • Seahawks' Uchenna Nwosu: Underwent knee surgery

Seahawks GM John Schneider said Wednesday that Nwosu required offseason knee surgery, Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune reports. It was reported last week that Nwosu underwent some sort of surgery, but the nature of it wasn't known at the time after he dealt with various injuries last season. Nwosu has since agreed to a restructured contract to stay with the Seahawks after appearing in just six games during the 2024 campaign. Since turning in a career-high 9.5 sacks in 2022, Nwosu has played in just 12 regular-season games over the last two campaigns.

  • Seahawks' Uchenna Nwosu: Had offseason surgery

Nwosu (undisclosed) needed offseason surgery after dealing with knee, thigh and wrist issues during the 2024 season, Michael-Shawn Dugar of The Athletic reports. It's unclear what type of surgery Nwosu needed or whether it was related to one of his in-season injuries. Dugar further reported that Seahawks GM John Schneider told the Seattle Sports radio station that it was "too early to tell" if the linebacker would begin training camp on the PUP list. Nwosu recorded 14 tackles (eight solo), including 1.0 sacks, and a pass defensed in six games last season.

  • Dolphins' Artie Burns: Inks deal with Miami

The Dolphins signed Burns to a one-year deal Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The 2016 first-round pick is returning home, having been born and raised in Miami before spending three years at the University of Miami. Burns saw limited action in 2024, appearing in just four games for the Seahawks and recording four total tackles and three passes defended across 105 total snaps (50 defensive, 55 on special teams). The eight-year NFL veteran is now expected to compete for a special-teams role and provide depth in the Dolphins secondary throughout the summer.

  • 49ers' Tre Brown: Signs with San Francisco

Brown (knee) signed with the 49ers on Thursday, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. The 2021 fourth-round pick of the Seahawks played out his rookie deal with his original team, making 13 starts in 39 regular-season games, though he only played in five and then six regular-season contests in his first two years due to a knee sprain and a knee injury that required surgery. Brown recorded 26 tackles (21 solo) and a pass defensed on 282 defensive snaps last season, but he also suffered another knee injury in the regular-season finale. In San Francisco, Brown should have a chance to compete for a starting cornerback job.

  • Titans' Dre'Mont Jones: Headed to Tennessee

The Titans signed Jones to a one-year, $10 million contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jones appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Seahawks in 2024, but his 28 combined tackles and 4.0 sacks were his fewest since his rookie year in 2019. He was released by Seattle on March 4, but it didn't take long for the 28-year-old defensive end to find a new team. Jones will likely start opposite Jeffery Simmons in 2025, though the former will get a push from Sebastian Joseph-Day during training camp.

  • Joshua Onujiogu: Not tendered by Seattle

The Seahawks didn't tender Onujiogu (undisclosed) by Wednesday, making him an unrestricted free agent, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. Onujiogu missed the entirety of Seattle's 2024 campaign after being placed on injured reserve with an undisclosed issue in early August. However, it now appears he's had enough time to move past the injury. The Framingham State product last appeared in an NFL game with the Seahawks in 2022, recording three total tackles across 17 total snaps (11 defensive and six on special teams).

  • Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Inks extension with Seahawks

Jones (knee) agreed to terms on a three-year, $33 million extension with Seattle on Sunday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jones will stay with the Seahawks after he was acquired via trade from Tennessee in October. The 25-year-old tallied 94 tackles (48 solo), including 0.5 sacks, and one interception over 10 games in Seattle last season, and he's totaled 114, 145 and 138 tackles over the last three seasons with the Rams, Titans and Seahawks. Jones underwent surgery shortly after the 2024 campaign to address a knee issue that he had dealt with for over a year. It's unclear when he'll fully recover from this procedure, but the team's decision to re-sign him to a long-term extension certainly provides optimism that he'll be healthy for the 2025 regular season.

  • Seahawks' Jarran Reed: Staying in Seattle

Reed agreed to a three-year deal worth up to $25 million with the Seahawks on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Reed, currently in his second stint with the Seahawks, is coming off a two-year deal with the team and likely would have been one of the top available defensive ends if he had hit the open market this offseason. The 32-year-old tallied 45 tackles and 4.5 sacks over 17 regular-season games in 2024, and he recorded seven sacks in 2023. With few signs of slowing down, Reed should continue to serve as one of the primary starters in Seattle's defensive front.

  • Seahawks' Josh Jobe: Re-ups with Seattle

Jobe re-signed with the Seahawks on Thursday. The cornerback injured his knee in Week 17 against the Rams and was placed on injured reserve ahead of Seattle's season finale. Jobe set new career highs in starts (six), tackles (37 total, 29 solo), pass breakups (seven) and interceptions (one) in 2024. The 2022 undrafted free agent played more on special teams than defense during his first two years in the league in 2022 and 2023, both with Philadelphia.

  • Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Recovering from knee surgery

Jones underwent knee surgery shortly after the conclusion of the season, Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports. The procedure cleaned up a lingering knee injury that Jones had dealt with for over a year, and he is expected to return to football activities as soon as June. Jones is a pending free agent, and though the new league year begins March 12, his ongoing recovery from surgery could delay him in passing a physical anytime soon. Jones played in 16 games between the Titans (six) and Seahawks (10) in 2024 and finished with 138 tackles (77 solo) and two pass breakups.

  • Roy Robertson-Harris: Hits open market

Seattle released Robertson-Harris on Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. The Seahawks acquired Robertson-Harris in a trade with Jacksonville in the middle of the 2024 season, and over 11 games with Seattle, he recorded 13 tackles (five solo). He'll turn 32 years old in July and will likely have to settle for a depth role no matter where he lands.

  • Dre'Mont Jones: On way out of Seattle

The Seahawks released Jones on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Despite being healthy for all 17 games in 2024, Jones recorded his fewest sacks (four) since his 2019 rookie season. He shouldn't have much difficulty finding a rotational pass-rush role with a new team.

  • Rayshawn Jenkins: On way out of Seattle

Seattle released Jenkins on Tuesday, John Boyle of the Seahawks' official site reports. In his lone season with Seattle, Jenkins lost his starting spot to Coby Bryant midway through the campaign and averaged fewer than 22 defensive snaps over the last seven games. Jenkins turned 31 years old in January and may not be in high demand as a free agent.

  • Seahawks' Coby Bryant: Impresses in new role

Bryant recorded 73 tackles (48 solo) and six pass defenses, including three interceptions -- one of which was a pick-six -- across 17 games during 2024. Bryant entered the 2025 season as a special-teams player and a backup defensive back, but he ended up starting in Week 7 and never looked back, starting the final 11 games. The 2022 fourth-round pick mostly played cornerback in college, but his transition to a full-time safety role looks complete. Bryant may need to battle to retain the role in 2025 depending on the Seahawks' offseason moves.

  • Seahawks' Tyrice Knight: Impresses in second half

Knight recorded 88 tackles (41 solo), including 1.5 sacks, and two pass defenses over 16 games during the 2024 season. Knight played sparingly to begin the season, but he was named a starter after the Week 10 bye and never looked back, tallying 65 tackles through the final eight games (averaging 8.1 per game). The rookie fourth-round pick probably hasn't done enough to guarantee a starting role in 2025, but he'll be in the competition barring high-end additions to the team this offseason.

  • Seahawks' Leonard Williams: Hits double-digit sacks again

Williams recorded 64 tackles (37 solo), including 11.0 sacks, and three pass defenses, including a pick-six, across 16 games during the 2024 season. Williams didn't slow down in his age-30 season, as he put up double-digit sacks for the first time since the 2020 season while adding his first career pick-six -- a 92-yard return. Having signed a three-year deal with the Seahawks in March of 2024, Williams has two years remaining on his contract. As it stands, he'll carry a $29.15 million cap hit in 2025.

  • Seahawks' Devon Witherspoon: Reaches second straight Pro Bowl

Witherspoon registered 98 tackles (66 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and nine pass defenses across 17 games during the 2024 season. Witherspoon was the Seahawks' only Pro Bowl player this season, marking his second time earning the honor in as many years. The 2023 first-round pick primarily played in the slot and paid dividends for fantasy managers with a high tackle count once again. He'll undoubtedly be a starter again in 2025 and should draw plenty of fantasy intrigue.

  • Seahawks' Ernest Jones: Hits 100 tackles again

Jones recorded 138 tackles (77 solo) and two pass breakups across 16 games between the Seahawks and Titans in 2024. Jones recorded 44 tackles through six games with the Titans before being traded to Seattle, where he registered 94 stops to total 138 tackles, 13th in the league. The 2021 third-round pick will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, and with the Seahawks having limited depth at the position, he's a good candidate to re-sign with the team.

  • Seahawks' Jarran Reed: Solid production in 2024

Reed finished the 2024 season with 45 total tackles (21 solo), including 4.5 sacks, while also adding two passes defensed and a forced fumble over 17 games. Reed was able to maintain a high level of play in 2024, reaching at least 43 tackles for the fourth straight year. The 32-year-old is an unrestricted free agent heading into the offseason, and he'll likely have plenty of interested suitors ahead of 2025.
