The Texans suffered a few injuries in Sunday’s 38-14 win over the Titans. S Quintin Demps’ might be the most serious. He suffered a broken left forearm and is expected to miss time.

“Demps had surgery [Monday], broke his forearm so he’s had two surgeries in a row, back-to-back [weeks],” coach Gary Kubiak told reporters. “We do expect him to come back. Don’t quite know how long that will be but he is going to miss some time.”

Demps suffered a broken right thumb last week at Denver and had to play this week with a cast.

RG Antoine Caldwell had to leave the game Sunday due to an ankle sprain, but he may be available when the Texans travel to take on the Jets next Monday.

“He could have went in had we got in trouble," Kubiak said. "He’s going to be day-to-day, and we do have an extra day of rest for him this week so I’ll have to let you guys know come Thursday.”

RB Ben Tate also missed practice on Monday due to a toe injury.

“We’re getting some X-rays on that and we’ll find out where we’re at on Thursday,” Kubiak said.

S Shiloh Keo suffered a shoulder injury against Tennessee, but Kubiak said he was back at practice Monday.

With the injury to Demps, Keo moves up on the depth chart. To fill Demps’ spot, the Texans can sign S Eddie Pleasant off the practice squad or bring someone in via free agency.

“We take a look at what’s out there from that standpoint,” Kubiak said. “The good news is we got a couple days to deal with that and it will probably be dealt with [Tuesday] at some point.”
