First-round draft pick T Riley Reiff is being considered as a replacement for veteran T Jeff Backus, who is rehabbing a torn biceps muscle suffered in the 2011 playoff loss. Although saying Reiff is a skilled player, G Rob Sims left no doubt Thursday that he hopes Backus won’t lose his starting spot. "Right now, I believe (the starting LT) is Jeff Backus, and that’s the way we go,” Sims said. “I love playing with Jeff. … We just fit together, and I like it and, hopefully, we keep that going for as long as possible.”
