The Ravens released backup cornerback Danny Gorrer on Monday, which corresponds with the organization signing safety James Ihedigbo on Sunday.
Gorrer, who went undrafted out of Texas A&M in 2009, spent time with Baltimore's practice squad in 2010 before making the 53-man unit in 2011. He saw game action in 11 Ravens contests, totaling five tackles and four pass deflections.
"24 hrs til I find out where my new home will be!!!! Hurt but thankful, never get comfortable cause we never no in this business!!!!" Gorrer tweeted after he was notified of his release.
The Ravens initially kept Gorrer on the 53-man roster this past Friday, which gave them seven cornerbacks.
But with the Ravens not ready to use fourth round draft pick Christian Thompson in the safety rotation, the Ravens signed Ihedigbo for depth, with Gorrer being the guy let go.
