The Giants' injury issues along the defensive line have gone from bad to worse.

DT Chris Canty (knee) is on the PUP and isn’t expected to come off any time soon, and now DTs Shaun Rogers, Martin Parker, Marvin Austin and DE Justin Trattou have made visits to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Rogers is being treated for a blood clot in his lower leg, and Parker has a herniated disc in his back that requires surgery.

Austin, who missed the 2010 NCAA season because of suspension and the 2011 NFL season with of a torn pectoral, is being examined for a back issue.

Trattou’s ankle/heel issue hasn’t gone away and after being examined by Dr. Russell Warren and Dr. David Levine, it was determined that he will likely miss the next several weeks -- at least. He sustained the injury the first week of camp. Trattou was in a walking boot, but he has been out of it for about a week.

Veteran DT Rocky Bernard is experiencing knee problems (he missed the first preseason game because of swelling), which means the only healthy players at the position are rookie Markus Kuhn and starter Linval Joseph.
