Seahawks starting center Max Unger, who suffered a high ankle sprain Week 11, was unable to practice Tuesday as the team prepared for Thursday's game at the 49ers. Unger's absence was a big factor in Seattle allowing seven sacks Week 12 against Arizona.

Coach Pete Carroll told reporters he didn't know if Patrick Lewis would get another start at center, or if the team would go with recently-signed Lemuel Jeanpierre.
