After three years in the Big Apple, Jamison Crowder is headed to Buffalo. The former Washington and Jets receiver is signing a one-year deal with the Bills, as confirmed by CBS Sports NFL insider Josina Anderson. Crowder will help fill the void left following the Bills' recent decision to release Cole Beasley, who caught 231 passes over his three seasons in Buffalo.

The 28-year-old receiver has 409 career receptions for 4,607 yards and 28 touchdowns. In 2016, his second NFL season, Crowder set career highs with 67 receptions for 847 yards and seven touchdowns. He caught 188 passes in three years with the Jets that included six touchdown grabs during the 2019 and 2020 campaigns. In 12 games last season, Crowder caught 51 passes for 447 yards and two touchdowns.

Crowder joins a Bills receiving corps that includes Pro Bowler Stefon Diggs, Gabriel Davis and Isaiah McKenzie. Crowder, whose breakout season in 2016 came with Kirk Cousins as his quarterback, will get a chance to play with quarterback Josh Allen, who over the past two years has thrown for 8,951 yards with 73 touchdowns against 15 interceptions. Allen's ascensions as one of the NFL's top passers helped Buffalo advance to the AFC Championship Game in 2020 and the divisional round of the playoffs this past season.

Buffalo has been active in free agency. Along with Crowder, the Bills signed former All-Pro pass rusher Von Miller to a long-term contract and also added tight end O.J. Howard, defensive end Shaq Lawson, and defensive tackles Jordan Phillips and Tim Settle
