If the Bears were graded for how quarterback Jay Cutler treats teammates and coaches, the GPA would be 0.0. However, they're being graded for how they treated the Dallas Cowboys. They left very little doubt by dominating in Big D to win a game that supposedly matched equal teams.

This was their most complete performance since routing Detroit 37-13 at Soldier Field last season and it almost seemed that the game put their offense back at a level where it was last year after 10 games and a 7-3 record -- before Cutler's thumb injury.

Offense: A

When tackle J'Marcus Webb is earning praise, you know it's been a good game. And when Devin Hester and Kellen Davis get involved catching passes well downfield, it's an outstanding game. Cutler's 275 yards on 18 of 24 rated as his second-best Bears effort (140.1 rating). It was even easy to overlook his snub of offensive coordinator Mike Tice after this one.

Defense: A+

If someone wanted to show a video of what the cover-2 defense is intended to be, he would show this game film. They "rushed and covered," as CB Charles Tillman said after the game. Tony Romo only dug himself a deeper hole with each chance he took. LB Lance Briggs looked like he could play running back with the way he tore out for the goal line after coming up with a ball knocked loose by Henry Melton. They lead the league in turnovers forced now with 14.

Special teams: B

About the only thing they didn't do was break a long one or take the ball away. Robbie Gould had five touchbacks in seven kickoffs, and Adam Podlesh put the ball down inside the 20 twice and had a 52-yard punt when backed up field-position-wise. Special teams kept flipping the field so the offense didn't have to work constantly in a hole.

Coaching: B+

Mike Tice went into the Green Bay game against a 3-4 defense and threw out the run almost immediately. This time the unit came out running and did it consistently enough to draw attention away from WR Brandon Marshall so he could get yards after the catch. They didn't hit even 100 yards, but that's not nearly as important. Tice also deserves extra praise for not making a scene after Cutler's antics on the bench. It was the kind of thing that could easily have escalated. Defensively, they did what more teams should do and treated Romo like an inexperienced, mistake-prone passer. They disguised coverages frequently until they got the lead and went into the cover-2.
