Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Unlikely to play in Game 6
Quickley (ankle) is doubtful for Friday's Game 6 against the Heat. Quickley continues to deal with a sprained left ankle and will likely be sidelined for a third consecutive matchup. Quentin Grimes should continue to see plenty of run if Quickley sits again Friday.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Ruled out for Game 5
Quickley (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 5 versus Miami, Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News reports. As expected, Quickley has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss a second straight contest after spraining his left ankle in Game 3. In Quickley's absence Monday, Quentin Grimes moved back into the starting lineup and played 42 minutes, while Josh Hart (22 minutes) and Miles McBride (four) were the only reserve guards to see any playing time.... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Unlikely to play in Game 5
Quickley (ankle) is doubtful for Wednesday's Game 5 versus Miami. Quickley missed Game 4 after spraining his left ankle in Game 3 and will likely miss at least one more contest. Without Quickley, Quentin Grimes moved back into the starting lineup Monday and played 42 minutes, while Josh Hart (22 minutes) and Miles McBride (four) were the only reserve guards to see any playing time.... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Downgraded to out
Quickley (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's Game 4 in Miami. As expected, Quickley has been downgraded from doubtful to out and will miss at least one contest after spraining his left ankle in Game 3. In his absence, Evan Fournier and Derrick Rose could crack the postseason rotation for the first time, but the Knicks could also give more minutes to Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride.... See More ... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Listed as doubtful for Game 4
Quickley (ankle) is doubtful for Monday's Game 4 in Miami. Head coach Tom Thibodeau said Quickley was considered day-to-day Sunday, but it's not surprising that the backup point guard may not play in Game 4 after spraining his left ankle during New York's Game 3 loss. In his expected absence, Evan Fournier and Derrick Rose could crack the postseason rotation for the first time, but the Knicks could also dole out more minutes to Quentin Grimes and Miles McBride.... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Considered day-to-day
Head coach Tom Thibodeau said Sunday that Quickley (ankle) is day-to-day after spraining his ankle during Saturday's Game 3 loss to Miami, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports. Quickly posted 12 points (4-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one steal across 20 minutes before suffering the injury, and given the severity of the issue, it wouldn't be surprising to see the backup point guard sidelined for at least one contest. When asked if Evan Fournier or Derrick Rose could crack the rotation in Quickley's potential absence, Thibodeau said, "everything's on the table. We'll see how it unfolds," per Ian Begley of SportsNet New York.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Diagnosed with sprained ankle
Quickley has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau told Nick Friedell of ESPN.com on Saturday. Thibodeau said Quickley would be re-evaluated before the end of the day, and the team will get another report Saturday, but this is not a good sign for one of New York's primary bench weapons. He should be treated as questionable for Game 4 on Monday, and it wouldn't be shocking if he misses at least one game. Quickley finished Game 3 on Saturday with 12 points (4-12 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), a rebound and a steal across 20 minutes off the bench.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Heads to locker room Saturday
Quickley headed to the locker room during Saturday's game against Miami following an apparent ankle injury, Nick Friedell of ESPN.com reports. Quickley stayed down on the ground for a few moments after appearing to turn his left ankle, and he went straight to the locker room to get checked out. This is a huge blow for a Knicks team that has struggled offensively so far in Game 3.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Scores playoff career high
Quickley produced 19 points (5-15 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 6-6 FT), two rebounds and one assist across 29 minutes during Wednesday's 106-95 win over Cleveland in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Quickley scored a playoff career-high 19 points in the close-out win over the Cavaliers. After playing only 19 minutes and scoring zero points in Game 4, Quickley saw a playoff-high 29 minutes and did most of his damage in the first half with 10 points. Since the end of the regular season, Quickley's minutes have decreased from 28.9 to 23.6 in the playoffs. Perhaps Wednesday's performance can help the young guard re-establish himself as a core rotational piece for the Knicks in Round 2.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Falls to second unit for Game 1
Quickly will appear off the bench in Saturday's Game 1 of the Eastern Conference First Round versus the Cavaliers, Joe Gabriele of the Cavaliers' official site reports. Quickley posted some huge efforts for the Knicks down the stretch but will give way to Jalen Brunson in the starting five in Brunson's first game back from a three-tilt absence due to a hand injury. Quickley should still claim a healthy role off the bench, but he obviously won't possess the same fantasy value as he did late in the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Huge performance Sunday
Quickley contributed 30 points (9-22 FG, 3-11 3Pt, 9-9 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and two steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 141-136 loss to Indiana. It's the third time in the last seven games Quickley has poured in at least 30 points, and he came within shouting distance of his third career triple-double. The third-year guard will take plenty of momentum into the postseason, as the fifth-seed Knicks take on the fourth-seed Cavaliers in the first round.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Hits game-high six threes in loss
Quickley logged 24 points (8-17 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, two assists and one steal in 30 minutes during Friday's 113-105 loss to the Pelicans. Quickley was locked in early, dropping 15 points in the first quarter on 5-of-6 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc. He went just 3-of-11 after the break, though all three buckets came from three-point range, where he shot 60 percent on the night. The shooting guard's six threes led the contest, while he also finished second on the Knicks in scoring with 24 points. Quickley has now scored at least 20 points in three straight and is shooting 55.2 percent from three to begin this month.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Catches fire from three in win
Quickley recorded 39 points (14-26 FG, 7-13 3Pt, 4-5 FT), nine assists, six rebounds and two steals in 40 minutes during Wednesday's 138-129 win over the Pacers. He torched the shorthanded Pacers, who gave up 30 or more points to three different Knicks players. Quickley led the way in the scoring column, drilling a season-high seven triples in the process. The 23-year-old has been on a tear over the last six games, averaging 27.3 points and 6.3 assists while knocking down 47.7 percent of his three-point attempts. With Julius Randle (ankle) having recently bene shut down with an injury and Jalen Brunson also being in and out of the lineup of late, Quickley has been a top-25 player in nine-category leagues over the last two weeks.... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Starts, drops 20
Quickley produced 22 points (8-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, five assists and three steals over 37 minutes during Sunday's 118-109 win over the Wizards. With RJ Barrett (illness) out, Quickley was inserted into the starting lineup. Against a depleted Washington roster, Quickley was solid across the box score. He had the second-most assists and tied for the team lead in steals. With Knicks nearly locked into the five seed, Quickley is a player to monitor, as he could continue to see increased playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Starting alongside Brunson
Quickley will join the first unit for Sunday's game against the Wizards. Quickley will get the starting nod Sunday with RJ Barrett (illness) sidelined. In 17 starts this season, Quickley has averaged 21.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists over 39.2 minutes and is worth a look as a streamer.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Drops game-high 24 points
Quickley finished Wednesday's 101-92 victory over the Heat with 24 points (8-14 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-11 FT), one rebound, four assists and three steals over 32 minutes. Quickley was at it again Wednesday, racking up 14 first-half points on 5-of-8 shooting from the field before chipping in another 10 in the second half to notch a game-high 24 points on the night. He added a game-high three steals as the Knicks came away with the home win despite Julius Randle leaving the contest with an ankle injury early in the second quarter. Quickley has now recorded at least 24 points in three straight games, shooting 59.1 percent from the field over that stretch.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Headed to bench
Quickley will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Heat. Jalen Brunson (hand) is back in the first unit, so Quickley will return to a reserve role for Wednesday's game. Through 58 games operating off the bench this season, Quickley has registered averages of 12.0 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.7 triples per contest on 43.5 percent shooting.... See More ... Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Career-best performance Monday
Quickley ended with 40 points (14-18 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine assists, two rebounds, one block and one steal across 30 minutes during Monday's 137-115 win over the Rockets. With Jalen Brunson (hand) sidelined, Quickley stepped up with a career-best scoring effort. The third-year guard has started seven of the last 11 games, and in those starts he's reached 25 points five times while averaging 26.3 points, 5.7 boards, 5.4 assists, 3.3 threes and 1.4 steals. If Brunson misses additional time, Quickley should be viewed as a must-start fantasy option.... See More ... See Less -
Knicks' Immanuel Quickley: Lifts offense in starting lineup
Quickley racked up 25 points (7-17 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-10 FT), five rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals over 42 minutes during Thursday's 111-106 loss to Orlando. Quickley got the start Thursday with Jalen Brunson (hand) out of the lineup, and he finished with a team-high-tying point total while leading the team in assists during the loss.
