Barrett (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Spurs, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett will end up resting for the final two games of the regular season, and Jamison Battle and Ochai Agbaji should continue to see increased playing time Sunday. Barrett missed 15 of the Raptors' final 32 games of the regular season, and he'll finish his first full year in Toronto averaging 21.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 0.8 steals over 32.2 minutes per game. He has two years left on his four-year, $107 million contract that he signed with the Knicks in September of 2022.... See More ... See Less

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Won't play vs. Dallas
Barrett (rest) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Mavericks, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports. After playing in the last two games, Barrett will be on the shelf Friday in Dallas. The Raptors continue to rest their star players every other game. Toronto will likely turn to Jamison Battle and Ochai Agbaji to help shoulder the load.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Plays only first half
Barrett had 11 points (4-11 FG, 3-7 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal across 14 minutes during Wednesday's 126-96 win over the Hornets. Barrett played only the first half of Wednesday's win over the Hornets, knocking down three three-pointers. The 24-year-old's absence in the second half was likely precautionary, as the Raptors have been easing the workload of their starters with the season winding down. Barrett's rest opened the door for extended second-half minutes for A.J. Lawson, Cole Swider, Jamison Battle and Jared Rhoden.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Set to play against Brooklyn

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Cleared to play Thursday
Barrett (rest) doesn't appear on the injury report for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. As expected, Barrett will be back in action for Thursday after resting in Tuesday's 137-118 loss to the Bulls, but head coach Darko Rajakovic could continue to hold the 24-year-old under 30 minutes as the Raptors look to limit the workloads of their top players as the season winds down. Thursday's game marks the front end of a back-to-back set, so Barrett will most likely be rested in Friday's game against the Pistons.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Will rest Tuesday
Barrett won't play in Tuesday's game against the Bulls due to rest, Coty Wiles of RaptorsRepublic.com reports. Barrett continues to rest every other game after missing three straight in mid-March. He posted 31 points (12-22 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-8 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes during Sunday's 127-109 victory over the 76ers and should be back in action Thursday against the Trail Blazers.... Barrett finished with 31 points (12-22 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 3-8 FT), five rebounds and five assists across 29 minutes during Sunday's 127-109 victory over the 76ers. Barrett didn't play Friday against the Hornets due to rest, but he was back in his usual role Sunday, producing his ninth game of the campaign with at least 30 points in the process. Across 55 appearances this season, Barrett has posted averages of 21.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists and 1.9 three-pointers on 47.3 percent shooting from the field.... See More ... See Less -

Raptors' RJ Barrett: Will rest Monday
Barrett will sit out Monday's game against the Wizards for rest purposes, Josh Lewenberg of TSN.ca reports. Barrett returned from a three-game absence (two due to an illness, one due to rest) in Sunday's 123-89 loss to the Spurs, finishing with 18 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes. He'll get the night off for the second leg of a back-to-back set, with his next chance to play coming Wednesday against the Nets. Immanuel Quickley (rest) sat out Sunday's game, but he has been given the green light to play Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Struggles from downtown in return
Barrett (rest) accumulated 18 points (8-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 1-4 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Sunday's 123-89 loss to the Spurs. After missing two games due to an illness and a third for rest purposes, Barrett returned to action Sunday but struggled to shoot the ball from three-point land. His high turnover rate, poor free-throw shooting and lack of contributions in the defensive categories severely restrict his overall fantasy appeal in nine-category settings, but the swingman should remain a strong producer in points leagues when available for the rebuilding Raptors in the final weeks of 2024-25. Across his last 11 appearances, Barrett has averaged 20.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 31.8 minutes per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Not on injury report
Barrett (rest) is not on the injury report and will be available for Sunday's game against the Spurs, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Barrett didn't play in any of the Raptors' last three games. He dealt with an illness that sidelined him for two contests, but he also received rest in the most recent game against the Warriors on March 20. Barrett's absence from the injury report suggests the star forward should handle his regular workload Sunday. Barrett is averaging 19.4 points, 6.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 0.6 steals per game across five starts in March.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Ruled out for Thursday
Barrett (rest) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Warriors, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett will miss a third straight game for the Raptors. However, this time, it is for rest purposes after battling an illness, which kept him out the previous two games. Jamison Battle and Ochai Agbaji will likely continue to shoulder the load in Golden State.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Out again Monday
Barrett (illness) will not play Monday against the Suns, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett will be sidelined for a second straight game while he tends to an illness. His absence should open up more playing time on the wing of Ochai Agbaji, Jamison Battle, A.J. Lawson and Garrett Temple.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Ruled out Sunday
Barrett (illness) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. The illness is a new concern for Barrett, and his next chance to suit up will come Monday against the Suns. Jamison Battle and A.J. Lawson will likely see a bump in minutes due to Barrett being sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Questionable for Sunday
Barrett is questionable for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers due to an illness, Blake Murphy of Sportsnet.ca reports. Barrett is not at 100 percent due to an illness, so a decision on his status will be made closer to Sunday's tipoff. He's averaging 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per contest.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Off injury report
Barrett has been removed from the injury report and will play Friday against the Jazz, Esfandiar Baraheni of The Athletic reports. Barrett missed Wednesday's matchup with Philadelphia due to personal reasons but will return after his one-game absence. His return comes at a convenient time for the Raptors, as they will be without Gradey Dick (knee), Jonathan Mogbo (nose), Jakob Poeltl (rest), Ja'Kobe Walter (hip) and Brandon Ingram (ankle). On the season, Barrett averages 21.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 0.8 steals and 0.3 blocks over 33.1 minutes.... See More ... See Less -
Raptors' RJ Barrett: Ruled out for Wednesday

Barrett is one of seven players that Toronto is ruling out for Wednesday, while Jamison Battle (nose) and Scottie Barnes (hand) are carrying questionable tags and Ochai Agbaji (ankle) is listed as doubtful. With the Raptors set to be shorthanded Wednesday, reserves such as A.J. Lawson, Jamal Shead and Jared Rhoden could be headed for extensive playing time.... See More ... See Less

Blake Murphy@BlakeMurphyODC17H agoThe Raptors will pick 39th in this year’s draft. That’s a pick via Portland through the Kings trade last summer. Could have been 39 or 40 but tiebreaker drawing went Raptors way. (Technically it went against Portland in first round and Raptors benefit in second round.)
