  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Good to go

Toppin (ankle) is officially available for Sunday's game against the Hawks. No surprise here, as Toppin had been previously reported to be trending in this direction. Barring any setbacks with his ankle, the 26-year-old should be in line for his usual workload.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: On track for Sunday

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Listed as questionable for Sunday

Toppin (ankle) is questionable for Sunday's game against Atlanta. Toppin picked up his ankle issue Friday against the Cavaliers and was unable to return to the game. The Pacers are pretty banged up right now, and it's possible that Jarace Walker gets a shot at some rotation minutes if Toppin is unable to go.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Out with ankle injury

Toppin won't return to Friday's game against the Cavaliers due to a left ankle sprain, Pat Boylan of Bally Sports Indiana reports. He recorded 10 points (4-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six assists, two rebounds, two steals and one block in 16 minutes before exiting. Toppin tweaked his ankle at the end of the third quarter, and the team announced shortly afterward that he would be shut down for the rest of the night. He'll be considered day-to-day in advance of Sunday's regular-season finale versus the Hawks.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Leads bench in scoring vs. Toronto

Toppin contributed 23 points (10-14 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 140-123 win over the Raptors. Toppin was the second-leading scorer for the Pacers on Tuesday behind Tyrese Haliburton. It was Toppin's first 20-point outing since Jan. 26 against the Suns, and he saw extended minutes in the fourth quarter with Indiana holding a sizeable lead. Over his last five games, Toppin has averaged 15.8 points on 65.3 percent shooting (including 47.8 percent from three on 4.6 attempts per game), 5.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals over 20.2 minutes.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Provides spark off bench

Toppin provided 14 points (5-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, three blocks and one steal over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 115-111 loss to the Nets. Toppin was Indiana's leading bench scorer and was two rebounds shy of a double-double during Wednesday's loss. The 25-year-old big man also logged just his third game of 2023-24 with at least three blocks. Toppin is on fire from deep lately, converting 48.1 percent of his 2.7 three-point attempts per contest over his last 10 appearances.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Reaches double figures off bench

Toppin closed Monday's 133-111 victory over Brooklyn with 14 points (6-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-2 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 19 minutes. Toppin provided a spark off the Pacers bench while ending as one of three bench players with a double-digit point total to go along with a quartet of rebounds and a trio of assists in just under 20 minutes of action. Toppin posted his eighth game of the year with 14 or more points off the bench, and he has done so in two of his last five appearances.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Questionable for Friday

Toppin is questionable for Friday's game against the Warriors due to a left ankle sprain. If Toppin is forced to the sidelines Friday, Doug McDermott could pick up some extra minutes, but that doesn't mean much with Pascal Siakam and Myles Turner healthy. The Pacers will likely see how he feels after Friday's morning shootaround before determining his status.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Good night on glass

Toppin closed Monday's 108-103 loss to the Cavaliers with 10 points (4-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, two assists and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench. The performance was as close to a double-double as Toppin has come since he went off for 23 and 11 against the Suns on Jan. 26. The fourth-year forward has settled into a consistent but modest role in the Indiana frontcourt. Over 13 games since the All-Star break, he's averaging 8.2 points, 4.1 boards, 1.4 assists and 0.8 threes over 18.5 minutes a contest.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Provides 17 points off bench

Toppin totaled 17 points (7-9 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, one block and one steal across 25 minutes during Sunday's 111-97 win over the Magic. Toppin came in with the second unit and helped dig the Pacers out of an early 15-point deficit. The 26-year-old matched Myles Turner with a team-leading eight rebounds, which also tied Toppin's third-best rebounding total of the season.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Pops for 14 points Tuesday

Toppin closed with 14 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and two rebounds over 17 minutes during Tuesday's 137-120 win over Dallas. Toppin scored in double-digits for just the second time in the past seven games, although he added very little outside of the scoring column. Aside from a few productive stretches, Toppin has been on the outside looking in when it comes to standard league fantasy value. He is outside the top 150 for the season, and given his current role, managers are likely to find more serviceable options on the waiver wire.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Contribution lacking

Toppin finished Monday's 130-122 loss to the Raptors with four points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt), three rebounds and two steals over 19 minutes. Toppin was inefficient and not overly incorporated despite Aaron Nesmith missing his second consecutive game due to a sprained ankle. Toppin has been one of the league's most efficient players from inside the arc on the season, but he still barely merits streaming credibility.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Gets first double-double of season

Toppin produced 23 points (10-15 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal over 33 minutes during Friday's 133-131 victory over Phoenix. Toppin lead the Pacers' bench in scoring Friday and registered his first double-double of the season and the fourth of his four-year career. It's the first time since Dec. 21 against the Grizzlies that Toppin has scored 20-plus points in a game, but he continues to score efficiently, as he's shooting 56.9 percent from the field (including 43.5 percent from three) in January.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Cleared to play

Toppin (calf) will play in Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Starreports. Toppin will play through a second straight questionable tag and has yet to miss a game this season. With Pascal Siakam making his debut Friday, Toppin's minutes could trend down going forward.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Iffy against Portland

Toppin (calf) is listed as questionable for Friday's game versus the Trail Blazers. Toppin has yet to miss a game this season but could sit out the second leg of Indiana's back-to-back Friday due to a left calf strain. If Toppin is unable to suit, Jalen Smith and Jarace Walker are candidates to receive increased playing time.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Available to play

Toppin (calf) is available to play in Thursday's game against the Kings, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. Toppin was unable to practice Wednesday and was carrying a questionable tag prior to this update. The Pacers are going to be very shorthanded Thursday, so Toppin could see a healthy amount of minutes if he's able to power through his calf issue.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Officially questionable

Toppin (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's matchup with the Kings. Toppin missed Wednesday's practice with a left calf strain and is at risk of missing Thursday's contest. Considering the game is the opening leg of a back-to-back, the Pacers could exercise caution with Toppin's injury. If that's the case, Jalen Smith and Jarace Walker could see more action.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Dealing with calf issue

Toppin didn't practice Wednesday due to a calf issue, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports. The extent of the injury remains unclear, but Toppin will likely wind up on the Pacers' injury report for Thursday's game in Sacramento, which should drop Wednesday night. Despite being moved to the bench at the end of December, Toppin has still played well in a reserve role, averaging 10.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 22.3 minutes over his last 12 appearances (one start).

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Joins second unit

Toppin will come off the bench for Tuesday's game against Houston. Toppin exits the starting lineup for just the second time this season, giving way to Jalen Smith. Smith ramping up is a central factor in Toppin heading to the second unit, but Indiana could also be seeking a different look defensively, as Andrew Nembhard and Aaron Nesmith join Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner to round out Tuesday's lineup.

  • Pacers' Obi Toppin: Solid in lopsided defeat

Toppin logged 14 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), three rebounds, four assists and two blocks over 30 minutes during Monday's 151-127 loss to the Clippers. Toppin was efficient and balanced in his scoring Tuesday, albeit in the context of a blowout and crutched by playing in Indiana's league-best offense. Nonetheless, Toppin has failed to hit double-digit scoring in three of his last five games, so he remains one of the less flashy components of the Pacers' rotation despite his athleticism.
