  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Ineligible for playoffs

Plowden, who is on a two-way contract with the Hawks, is ineligible for the NBA Playoffs. Plowden appeared in a total of six games for the Hawks, averaging 7.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 12.0 minutes. He was much more involved for the College Park Skyhawks in the G League, posting averages of 15.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.9 blocks and 2.2 three-pointers across 29 appearances.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Rare appearance in win

Plowden registered two points (1-2 FG, 0-1 3Pt) in one minute during Thursday's 133-109 victory over Brooklyn. Plowden suited up for just the fifth time all season, all of which have been garbage-time appearances bar one. It's clear Plowden is on the outside looking in when it comes to rotational minutes, averaging 5.2 points in 8.1 minutes this season.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Transferred to NBA

Plowden was transferred from the G League's College Park Skyhawks to Atlanta on Monday. With College Park missing out on the G League playoffs, Plowden will join the Hawks in the NBA to provide some depth to the roster. The rookie swingman is logging 16.5 minutes per game over two appearances with Atlanta in 2024-25, but it's unclear what kind of role he'll have to close out the season.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Doesn't suit up Sunday

Plowden didn't play in Sunday's 126-108 G League loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers due to a right elbow strain. The right elbow strain is a new injury for Plowden, and his next chance to suit up will come in the parent club's game against Memphis on Monday. The swingman has received the majority of his playing time in the G League, appearing in only two outings with the Hawks since signing a two-way contract with the club in December.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Returns to parent club

The Hawks recalled Plowden from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Friday. Plowden is back with the parent club after playing three games in the last three days. After logging 36 minutes for College Park in Tuesday's 112-108 win over the Cleveland Charge, Plowden joined Atlanta for Wednesday's 110-94 win over the Bulls and made his NBA debut, recording 19 points in 25 minutes off the bench. Plowden then played 22 minutes for College Park in Thursday's 123-122 overtime loss to the Maine Celtics. Though he's rejoining Atlanta for Saturday's game in Boston, Plowden may not be included in the rotation if the banged-up Hawks are able to get one or more of De'Andre Hunter (foot), Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and Zaccharie Risacher (adductor) back in action.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Recalled to NBA

Atlanta recalled Plowden from the G League's College Park Skyhawks on Wednesday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Plowden, who is on a two-way contract with Atlanta, could see his first taste of NBA action Wednesday against the Bulls -- Atlanta will have just 10 players available due to numerous injuries.

  • Hawks' Daeqwon Plowden: Agrees to two-way deal

Plowden and the Hawks agreed to a two-way contract Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Plowden went undrafted in 2022 out of Bowling Green and will now join an NBA regular-season roster for the first time in his career. Before signing the two-way deal, Plowden had been playing for the Hawks' G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks. He averaged 14.2 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.5 three-pointers and 1.1 steals in 27.8 minutes per game while shooting 38.5 percent from deep over 14 appearances for College Park.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Waived by Atlanta

The Hawks waived Plowden on Friday, Brad Rowland of the Locked On Podcast Network reports. Plowden latched on with the club for training camp on a non-guaranteed deal. However, after being waived the 26-year-old is expected to join Atlanta's G League affiliate -- the College Park Skyhawks -- for the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Warriors' Daeqwon Plowden: Joins Golden State on two-way deal

Plowden agreed to a two-way contract with the Warriors on Tuesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. A third-year pro out of Bowling Green, Plowden has been a standout for the Warriors during the Summer League, averaging 16.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.6 three-pointers, 1.8 assists and 1.2 blocks in 24.2 minutes per game across five appearances. As a two-way player, Plowden will be eligible to make his NBA debut for the Warriors during the upcoming campaign, but the 25-year-old wing is still likely to see the majority of his playing time in the G League with the Santa Cruz Warriors.

  • Warriors' Daeqwon Plowden: Returns to action Sunday

Plowden (leg) recorded 14 points (4-7 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 5-5 FT), eight rebounds, three assists and two blocks in 23 minutes during Sunday's 92-68 win over the Lakers in the California Classic Summer League. Plowden suffered a right leg injury during Saturday's Summer League win over Miami, but he was back in action a day later. He's played a prominent role for Golden State this summer and should continue to get opportunities to contribute.

  • Warriors' Daeqwon Plowden: Suffers leg injury

Plowden suffered a right leg injury in Saturday's win over the Heat in the 2024 NBA Summer League, Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Plowden was helped off the court with an apparent right leg injury, and the Warriors are expected to be very cautious with him in terms of the potential recovery process. Plowden scored 24 points (9-13 FG, 6-9 3Pt) across 23 minutes in the win before exiting the contest.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Hits waiver wire

Plowden was waived by the Magic on Saturday, Philip Rossman-Reich of OrlandoMagicDaily.com reports. Plowden shouldered a nice chunk of playing time during Orlando's last preseason game against Flamengo, but he was unable to do much with the opportunity (three points, two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes). As a result, he'll head to waivers and could end up reporting to the Magic's G League affiliate, the Osceola Magic.

  • Magic's Daeqwon Plowden: Signs with Orlando

Plowden signed a contract with the Magic on Wednesday. Plowden spent the 2022-23 campaign in the G League, averaging 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 20.4 minutes per game over 24 appearances with the Birmingham Squadron. It wouldn't be surprising to see him back in the G League once the regular season begins.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Sniffs double-double

Plowden had 18 points (6-9 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, an assist and a steal across 23 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's win over Santa Cruz. Plowden was one of seven Birmingham players to score in double digits in this game, but he also ended just one rebound shy of a double-double, so this was a strong performance for him. In fact, the 18-point outing was his second-best mark of the season, and the nine boards tied his season-best output in that category.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Plays 20 minutes off bench Thursday

Plowden (illness) registered eight points (3-5 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds and an assist across 20 minutes off the bench in Thursday's loss to the Blue. Plowden was one of two players that didn't reach the 20-minute threshold for the Squadron, but at least he's now available after missing several games with an illness before the All-Star break. That said, he's not expected to have a major role going forward.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Impressive effort Tuesday

Plowden delivered 24 points (8-10 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and an assist across 31 minutes off the bench in Tuesday's loss to the Vipers. Plowden led Birmingham in scoring during this loss after posting one of the most efficient performances of his career. Plowden has yet to start a game for Birmingham this season, but he's still averaging 7.7 points across 20.6 minutes per contest.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Limited output once again

Plowden recorded five points (2-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and a block across 20 minutes off the bench in Thursday's 113-107 loss to South Bay. Plowden has not done much off the bench for the Squadron, and while he posted decent peripheral stats in this one, he remains a deep-bench alternative for Birmingham. He shouldn't be trusted to produce on a steady basis in the future.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Efficient off bench Sunday

Plowden recorded nine points (3-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), three rebounds and an assist across 26 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to Mexico City. Plowden is settled as a contributor off the bench, and while he is not expected to post eye-popping numbers on a regular basis, it's worth noting that he was extremely efficient in this game and tends to post decent numbers even when he doesn't receive a lot of playing time. He's averaging 9.9 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest.

  • Daeqwon Plowden: Drains four treys Friday

Plowden recorded 16 points (6-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 0-1 FT), seven rebounds and two assists across 38 minutes in Friday's loss against the Vipers. Plowden has not shot the ball extremely well in his first two appearances of the season, but he's been getting the job done with back-to-back double-digit scoring performances. He's also shooting an impressive 50 percent from three-point range, going 7-for-14 in that two-game span.
