  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Back to bench

Bryant will return to the bench for Tuesday's game against the Bucks, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bam Adebayo is back with the starting group after sitting out Saturday's game against the Nets with a hip injury. Bryant wasn't able to make the most of his spot start Saturday, posting two points, one rebound and one steal in 13 minutes.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Sputters in spot start

Bryant closed with two points (1-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound and one steal over 13 minutes during Saturday's 112-97 loss to the Nets. Bryant got the starting nod Saturday after Bam Adebayo was ruled out with an ongoing hip injury. Despite starting, Bryant was a non-factor, scoring two points in 13 minutes. He remains ahead of Orlando Robinson in the rotation for some reason, a strategy that could change at some point should the coaching staff decide to go with the common sense move.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Returns to starting lineup

Bryant is in the starting five for Saturday's game versus the Nets. Bryant will replace Bam Adebayo (hip) in the starting lineup Saturday. Bryant is averaging 10.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 23.0 minutes across his previous two starts this season.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Making second start of 2023

Bryant will join the first unit for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Despite receiving a DNP-CD in each of Miami's last three contests, Bryant will step into the starting lineup with Bam Adebayo (hip) and Kevin Love (personal) sidelined. In his only other start this season, Bryant played 22 minutes and logged 10 points, two rebounds and two steals.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Will play Wednesday

Coach Erik Spoelstra said Bryant will play in place of Kevin Love (personal) during Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Kevin Love hasn't started since Oct. 30, so Bryant isn't expected to slide into the starting lineup, but the latter should be able to crack the rotation. After playing double-digit minutes in eight straight games to start the year, averaging 6.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in 14.8 minutes during that stretch, Bryant has totaled just eight minutes over Miami's last six games.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Slides to second unit

Bryant will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against Brooklyn, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bryant drew the starting nod in place of Bam Adebayo during Miami's last contest. With Adebayo now healthy, Bryant will return to a reserve role.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Fills in for Adebayo

Bryant provided 10 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and two steals across 22 minutes during Monday's 122-114 loss to the Bucks. Bryant struggled as a starter and was outplayed by Orlando Robinson, the team's third-string center who ended with 11 points, seven rebounds and seven assists across 26 minutes. This was Bryant's best game of the season thus far, but it's still not enough to make him valuable in fantasy, especially since Bam Adebayo (hip) is being listed as a game-time decision for Wednesday's matchup against the Nets.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Nabs start at center

Bryant is starting Monday night's game against Milwaukee, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Bryant will draw his first start of the season while Bam Adebayo recovers from a hip contusion. Bryant has seen limited action in his first three contests of the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 5.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 13.7 minutes per game.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Starts at center sans Adebayo

Bryant will start Friday's preseason contest against the Spurs, Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports. With Miami's usual starters sidelined, Bryant moves into the first five. He'll be joined by Dru Smith, Duncan Robinson, Jamal Cain and Haywood Highsmith, and they all figure to play extended minutes for the shorthanded Heat.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Scores 15 points

Bryant produced 15 points (4-7 FG, 0-1 3PT, 7-7 FT), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 19 minutes during Tuesday's 113-109 preseason win over Charlotte. Bryant is hoping to open the season as the primary backup behind Bam Adebayo, and he certainly made a strong case Tuesday evening. His next chance to impress the coaching staff will be Thursday against the Spurs.

  • Heat's Thomas Bryant: Going to Miami

Bryant and the Heat agreed Saturday on a two-year, $5.4 million deal, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports. Bryant averaged 12.1 points and 6.8 rebounds across 21.4 minutes in 41 games with the Lakers last season before getting dealt to the Nuggets prior to the trade deadline. He saw his role decrease in Denver, as he averaged just 4.6 points and 3.3 rebounds across 11.4 minutes in 18 games. The 26-year-old center will now look to get things back on track in Miami, where he will compete with Kevin Love for depth center minutes behind Bam Adebayo.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Back in rotation Sunday

Bryant closed Sunday's 109-95 victory over Sacramento with 12 points (5-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt), eight rebounds and one block in 21 minutes. Bryant got back in the rotation Sunday, albeit in a game where the Nuggets were playing for nothing. Despite seemingly coming to Denver seeking more playing time, things have not gone to plan. Given he had not even made it onto the court in the 10 days prior to Sunday, it's hard to see him having any sort of impact come the playoffs.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Falls flat in spot start

Bryant ended Thursday's 107-88 loss to the Pelicans with four points (2-5 FG, 0-1 3Pt), three rebounds and one block across 14 minutes. With Nikola Jokic (rest/calf) sidelined for the first half of a back-to-back set, Bryant got the start at center but failed to take advantage of the opportunity and ultimately played just 14 minutes. Jokic is expected back Friday, pushing Bryant back to a bench role that's seen him log just six minutes in the four games prior to Thursday's appearance. He offers minimal fantasy value with his new team.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Set to start Thursday

Bryant will start Thursday against the Pelicans, Mike Singer of The Denver Post reports. Since Nikola Jokic (calf) is out, Bryant will start for the first time since joining the Nuggets and will likely see an increase in minutes. With the Lakers earlier this season, Bryant averaged 14.5 points and 8.6 rebounds in 26.6 minutes as a starter.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Fails to score in eight minutes

Bryant provided zero points (0-3 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one rebound in eight minutes during Tuesday's 125-110 loss to Toronto. Bryant continues to play limited minutes, currently sitting well outside the top 300 since arriving in Denver. Despite being traded from the Lakers due to insufficient playing time, Bryant has fared no better with his new team. While he does have the ability to put up 12-team value when afforded meaningful minutes, that simply isn't going to be happening anytime soon. Clearly, he is well off the fantasy radar at this point, even in deeper formats.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Available to play

Bryant (ankle) will be available to play Monday against the Raptors. Bryant will be available to back up Nikola Jokic against Toronto, which could result in a DNP-CD for DeAndre Jordan. As long as Jokic is healthy, it'll be tough for Bryant to get enough minutes to impact fantasy hoops.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Should play through injuries

Bryant is probable for Monday's matchup against the Raptors with a right ankle sprain and a hip contusion. It doesn't appear like either injury is too significant, as the backup big man is still expected to suit up versus Toronto. Over his last seven contests, he's posting 5.1 points and 5.0 rebounds in 14.0 minutes per game.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Plays two minutes

Bryant finished with zero points (0-1 FG) over two minutes during Saturday's 119-105 win over the Hornets. Bryant stepped on the floor for his new team for the first time Saturday night, although it was for only two minutes during garbage time at the end. Once he gets acclimated, he will likely take over the backup center minutes currently occupied by DeAndre Jordan. However, even when that does happen, those minutes aren't significant enough for Bryant to be considered in standard leagues.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Available, may not see floor

Bryant (trade) is available for Saturday's game against the Hornets but may not play due to a hectic schedule and late arrival, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. Bryant landed in Charlotte a little after 3 p.m. ET, immediately dropped off his bags at the hotel and took a bus to the arena. While he's technically available to play, coach Michael Malone may choose to let the backup big take a breather and observe from the bench. If that's the case, DeAndre Jordan could end up back in the rotation.

  • Nuggets' Thomas Bryant: Set to debut Saturday

Bryant (trade) will be available for Saturday's game versus the Hornets, Katy Winge of Altitude Sports reports. Bryant joined the bevy of players on the move before Thursday's trade deadline, and it appears he's ready to make his first appearance in a Nuggets uniform. Unfortunately, the move to Denver also seemingly will cut into Bryant's fantasy production the rest of the way, now that he's aligned behind superstar center Nikola Jokic.
