  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Strong from deep in 30-point outing

Irving ended with 31 points (10-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 8-9 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Sunday's 109-97 loss to the Clippers in Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals. Irving entered the postseason well-rested after sitting the final two games of the regular season, and while both he and Luka Doncic (33 points) had strong offensive showings, it wasn't enough to propel the Mavs over the Kawhi Leonard-less Clippers. Irving finishing with at least 30 points in 13 outings during the regular season, entering the playoffs with three or more threes in eight of his final 10 contests.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Available for Game 1 on Sunday

Irving (hamstring) is not on the official injury report and will be available for Game 1 of the opening-round series against the Clippers on Sunday. Irving didn't play in the Mavericks' final two games of the regular season because Dallas was already locked into its playoff matchup. He shouldn't have any limitations for the series opener against the Clippers on Sunday and should handle his regular high-usage role alongside Luka Doncic. Over his final 15 regular-season appearances, Irving averaged 26.8 points, 5.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 37.5 minutes per game.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Shut down until postseason

Irving (hamstring), who has already been ruled out for Friday's game against the Pistons, will also be held out of Sunday's game against the Thunder, Brandon Rahbar of DailyThunder.com reports. Irving will get around a full week to rest his hamstring until the Mavericks begin their postseason run. He appeared in 58 regular-season games and averaged 25.6 points, 5.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 3.0 three-pointers and 1.3 steals in 35.0 minutes while shooting 49.7 percent from the field, 90.5 percent from the charity stripe and 41.1 percent from three-point land.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Ruled out for Friday

Irving has been ruled out for Friday's game against Detroit due to left hamstring soreness. Irving has been dominant in recent matchups, but he's dealing with a hamstring issue that will sideline him for the first time since Feb. 3. It's unclear whether his injury will impact his availability for the start of the playoffs, but his status for Sunday's game against Oklahoma City should help provide an indication. Tim Hardaway, Jaden Hardy and Dante Exum could see increased run against the Pistons.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Season-high 48 points vs. Houston

Irving finished with 48 points (15-25 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 15-17 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal over 45 minutes during Sunday's 147-136 overtime victory over the Rockets. Irving went back to his primary role as a scorer with Luka Doncic returning from a one-game absence due to right knee soreness. Sunday marked the third time this season that Irving scored 40-plus points, and every point was needed as the game went to overtime. Over his last 10 games, he has averaged 27.6 points on 52.3 percent shooting (including 38.7 percent from three on 7.5 attempts per game), 4.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.3 steals over 37.6 minutes.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Posts well-rounded line in win

Irving finished with 26 points (9-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists, one block and two steals across 42 minutes during Friday's 108-106 victory over the Warriors. Luka Doncic (knee) was out for the contest, but it was P.J. Washington who took the biggest step forward in the point guard's void, leading Dallas with 32 points. Nonetheless, Irving was a key factor in the close victory, ranking second on the team in scoring and rebounds while tying for the team lead in assists. Irving has been very steady as a scorer of late, posting between 24 and 30 points in seven straight games and averaging 26.3 points while knocking down multiple triples in every contest during that span.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 27 points in loss Tuesday

Irving had 27 points (10-19 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, two assists, one block and three steals across 39 minutes during Tuesday's 104-100 loss to the Warriors. Irving has done a great job this season operating as the second option on offense behind Luka Doncic, but the veteran floor general has also proven he can take over any game if needed. Irving has scored 24 or more points in five straight appearances, averaging 26.4 points per game and shooting an impressive 53.2 percent from the floor in that span.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Leads team with 30 points

Irving contributed 30 points (11-16 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 38 minutes during Friday's 107-103 win over the Kings. Irving scored 14 of his 30 points in the fourth quarter to help the Mavericks rally from a nine-point deficit to sweep the Kings. The veteran is rounding out an excellent month, averaging 24.0 points, 5.4 assists, 4.7 assists and 1.1 steals over 14 games in March.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Struggles with shot Thursday

Irving contributed 16 points (7-19 FG, 2-8 3Pt), five rebounds, seven assists and two steals across 35 minutes during Thursday's 113-97 win over the Jazz. Irving canned only two of eight three-point tries and went 7-for-19 from the field overall, though he did provide a boost to the Mavericks with 11 of his 16 points coming after halftime. It isn't unusual for the star guard to be the second option on offense behind Luka Doncic, though in this contest he was also outscored by center Daniel Gafford. Nonetheless, Irving had been producing quite proficiently coming into Thursday, averaging 25.4 points on 49.8 percent shooting along with 2.9 triples over 14 games since the All-Star break.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Pops for game-high 28

Irving provided 28 points (13-21 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes during Tuesday's 113-107 victory over the Spurs. The 31-year-old guard led all scorers on the night as he topped 20 points for the fourth straight game and the 12th time in 14 contests since the All-Star break. Irving is averaging 25.4 points, 5.0 boards, 4.6 assists, 2.9 threes and 1.1 steals over that stretch as he and Luka Doncic try to drag the Mavericks out of the Play-In Tournament and into a guaranteed playoff spot.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Hits game-winning shot Sunday

Irving ended with 24 points (9-23 FG, 4-11 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, nine assists, one block and three steals in 40 minutes during Sunday's 107-105 win over the Nuggets. Irving didn't have his best shooting performance, as evidenced by the fact he needed 23 shots to score 24 points, but he came through when Dallas needed him the most, as he drained the game-winning shot in the dying stages of the fourth quarter. Irving has reached the 20-point mark in six of his eight appearances this month, averaging 23.4 points and 5.6 assists per game since the beginning of March.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Dominates offensively in defeat

Irving finished with 36 points (12-18 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT), four rebounds, 12 assists and two steals across 38 minutes during Thursday's 126-119 loss to the Thunder. With Luka Doncic (hamstring) sidelined, Irving led all players in Thursday's contest in scoring, threes made and assists while pacing the Mavericks with a pair of steals to boost Dallas in a losing effort. Irving set a new season high in assists, handing out 10 or more dimes in five games this year. He has scored north of 35 points in seven outings, adding 10 or more assists in two of those contests.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Sniffs triple-double in win

Irving posted 23 points (8-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 6-6 FT), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one block and one steal over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 109-99 victory over the Warriors. Irving took over the contest when Luka Doncic left with a hamstring injury, and he did his best impersonation of the latter, ending just two rebounds shy of a triple-double and taking over the game from the point guard position. Irving is expected to experience a massive uptick in usage rate if Doncic is forced to miss time, which seems likely for, at least, the Thursday matchup at Oklahoma City in the second half of a back-to-back.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 21 points in win

Irving closed with 21 points (9-18 FG, 3-6 3Pt), three rebounds, five assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 142-124 win over the Pistons. Luka Doncic stole the show Saturday and grabbed headlines after tallying a sixth consecutive triple-double with 35 or more points, but Irving has been a productive presence alongside the Slovenian star. Irving has reached the 20-point plateau in four straight games, and while his assists numbers have decreased a bit due to Doncic's high usage rate, Irving still finds ways to contribute. He's averaging 25.7 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game since the All-Star break.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Hits for 23 against Miami

Irving accumulated 23 points (9-19 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 36 minutes during Thursday's 114-108 victory over the Heat. The veteran guard has taken a back seat to Luka Doncic lately, but that doesn't mean Irving's been invisible. He's topped 20 points in 10 of the last 11 games, averaging 26.8 points, 5.5 boards, 3.9 assists, 3.2 threes and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 51.6 percent from the floor and 40.7 percent from long distance.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores efficient 28

Irving produced 28 points (10-20 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal over 38 minutes during Sunday's 120-116 loss to the 76ers. Irving posted his 22nd game with at least 25 points this season, as well as his ninth contest with at least five made threes. The 31-year-old remains a potent scorer from anywhere on the court. Irving's off-ball creativity and constant movement when playing alongside Luka Doncic is helping fuel a career-best 41.9 percent clip from deep on 7.1 three-point attempts per game. The duo is capable of carrying Dallas deep into the playoffs if the supporting cast can be efficient and consistent.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Struggles from field Friday

Irving produced 19 points (9-23 FG, 1-7 3Pt), four rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Friday's 138-110 loss to the Celtics. Irving had one of his worst shooting performances in recent memory, as he needed 23 shots to score 19 points in what turned out to be a blowout loss against Boston. There's a strong chance this might have been nothing more than a subpar game for Irving, however, as he's still averaging a solid 26.9 points, along with 5.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game, since the beginning of February.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Scores 29 points in win

Irving recorded 29 points (11-20 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-5 FT), one rebound, three assists, one block and two steals across 35 minutes during Wednesday's 136-125 win over the Raptors. Irving didn't do much outside of scoring, but he didn't need to fill the stat sheet in other categories as Luka Doncic chipped in with an enormous triple-double to lift Dallas to victory here. Irving has adjusted well to being the second option in the Mavericks' offensive scheme, though as he's proven time and time again this season, he can also take over if needed. The veteran guard has scored at least 25 points in seven games in a row, averaging 28.9 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game in that span.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Pours in 30 against former club

Irving totaled 30 points (12-24 FG, 5-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 39 minutes during Tuesday's 121-119 loss to Cleveland. The veteran guard is locked in right now, although Irving's efforts weren't enough to give the Mavs the win over the team that drafted him first overall back in 2011. Irving has scored at least 25 points in six straight games, averaging 28.8 points, 6.5 boards, 4.5 assists, 3.5 threes and 0.8 steals over that stretch while shooting 55.6 percent from the floor and 45.7 percent from long distance.

  • Mavericks' Kyrie Irving: Puts up 29 points in defeat

Irving amassed 29 points (10-22 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes during Sunday's 133-111 loss to the Pacers. Irving was far from being at his best, but the veteran floor general still provided a solid stat line in a game where he and Luka Doncic had to do most of the heavy lifting on offense. Irving has reached the 25-point mark in each of his last five appearances, tying his season-long streak in that department. He's averaging 27.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest in February.
