D.J. White: Announces retirement
White announced Monday that he is retiring from basketball, Scott Agness of FieldhouseFiles.com reports.
White was the 2008 Big Ten Player of the Year before he was selected by Detroit in the first round of the 2008 Draft, but he'll step away from the game after a 14-year professional career. He most recently played for Daegu KOGAS Pegasus of the Korean Basketball League.

D.J. White: Re-signs with Italian club
White re-signed Friday with Auxilium CUS Torino of the Italian Serie A Basketball League on a one-year contract, Sportando reports.
The 29-year-old had previously spent six seasons in the NBA with the Thunder, Hornets and Celtics, but last appeared in the league during the 2013-14 campaign. White was one of the top players on the Torino roster last season, averaging 17.1 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 32.2 minutes per game. If he continues to excel in Italy, White could generate some renewed interest from NBA teams.
