It didn't count, but that makes it no less impressive. I guess it's kind of like hitting a 500-foot home run foul.
Marcus Camby launched, and made, about a 90-foot one-handed heave at the end of the third quarter Monday against the Kings. Players are notorious for "accidentally" releasing long heaves right after the buzzer so not to affect shooting percentages. Camby didn't appear to be pulling that trick here, but it's a shame he didn't get three points for this one. Heck, I'd give him five for it.
