The AP reports that the personal chef for Miami Heat guard Norris Cole was killed Tuesday morning at a Miami night club.

A private chef employed by Miami Heat guard Norris Cole was shot and killed inside a popular South Beach nightclub early Tuesday, police said.

Police say 42-year-old Antaun Teasley was found unresponsive inside Club Mansion and that he had been in a fight with a man in the VIP area shortly before he was found. He was taken to a Miami hospital, where he died.

Teasley's death was announced hours before Cole and the Miami Heat would play Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs in Miami Tuesday night. On Twitter, Heat guard Mario Chalmers called the news ''crazy.'' Chalmers also used to employ Teasley several years ago and he worked for some Miami Dolphins players.

Cole put several photos in November of food the chef had prepared for him. From Teasley's catering website:

In 2000, Teasley received his credentials in Culinary Arts from the Pennsylvania Culinary in Pittsburgh.  Upon graduation, Antaun headed to Florida where he worked side by side with Executive Chefs James Reaux and Kevin Garcia at the Boca Raton Resort & Club and LUCCA Restaurant.  The South also provided Teasley an opportunity to further his education at the National Academy of Professional Arts in 2001, where he obtained his degree in Bartending, and cultivated a palette for fine wines.  He has also been a chef at award-winning restaurants such as Morton’s of Chicago, Ruth Chris Steakhouse and Giovanni’s in Cleveland, Ohio.

The best part of working is enjoying the job you perform.     “I love to see the expression on people’s faces when they taste my food.  If they’re happy, I’m ecstatic!”, proudly states “Young Chef” of his work.
